Deutsch: Der Hai-Van- oder Wolken-Pass ( viet. Đèo Hải Vân, franz. Col des Nuages) bildet die natürliche Grenze und Wetterscheide zwischen Nord- und Süd-Vietnam. Er ist ca. 20 km lang, erreicht 496 Meter Höhe und führt über den Ausläufer der Truong-Son-Berge, der bis zum Meer reicht. Vom höchsten Punkt hat man einen Panoramablick über den Ozean, nach Da Nang und die Halbinsel Son Tra. Oftmals aber ist der Pass in Wolken gehüllt.

English: The Hải Vân Pass ("sea cloud pass"), is an approximately 2 mile long mountain pass on National Road 1A in Vietnam. It traverses a spur of the larger Annamite Range that juts into the South China Sea, on the border of Đà Nẵng and Thừa Thiên-Huế Province, near Bach Ma National Park. Its name refers to the mists that rise from the sea, reducing visibility.

Français : Le Col des Nuages (en vietnamien : Đèo Hải Vân) est un col au Centre du Viêtnam. Le col non seulement fait la frontière naturelle entre la province de Thừa Thiên-Huế et la ville de Đà Nẵng mais aussi marque la différence de l'accent de leur population. Il fait 21 km de long. Avant la mise en place du tunnel de Hai Van en 2005, il représentait un important goulet d'étranglement routier.

Odziela Region Wybrzeża Północno-Środkowego (wiet.:Bắc Trung Bộ) od Regionu Wybrzeża Południowo-Środkowego (wiet.:Nam Trung Bộ). Przełęcz Hải Vân jest położona na drodze 1A, głównej drodze biegnącej wzdłuż wybrzeża Wietnamu, przecinającej w tym miejscu jedno z wielu bocznych pasm gór Annamskich. W pobliżu przełęczy znajduje się Park Narodowy Bạch Mã.
