Cobbler's lasts, anvils used for the repair of shoes.
Unlike shoemaking lasts that are made to a specific size and shape, or to match the feet of a particular customer, the last used for repairing shoes (cobbling) is a single tool (sometimes with a range of approximate sizes) used for all shoes.
