- El 1981 —fa 43 anys—, la revista Rolling Stone número 335 publicà en portada una foto de Yoko Ono i John Lennon feta per Annie Leibovitz el dia de l'assassinat de Lennon.[1]
- El 1989 —fa 35 anys—, el grup Metallica estrenà en la MTV llur primer videoclip oficial, One, amb metratge de la pel·lícula Johnny Got His Gun.[2]
