Who We Are
The Southeast Asia Program (SeAP) at Stanford’s Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center is committed to researching contemporary Southeast Asian affairs and their policy implications. Our goal is to promote greater understanding of the conditions and forces affecting the region and shaping its future. Through academic endeavors and public outreach, we provide a space where scholars and professionals discuss and refine their ideas, engage and advise regional policymakers, and help interpret a culturally, politically, and economically diverse region of over half a billion people.
