Abstract

The thriving prominence of the metaverse and virtual worlds is significantly transforming the dynamics of human interaction, signaling a shift towards digital-centric societies. As we witness this profound transition, wherein facets of our lives—learning, work, entertainment, and healthcare—are increasingly intertwined with virtual spaces, a crucial facet emerges: the essence of human collaboration within these immersive environments. The richness of human interconnectedness finds a new canvas in these digital realms, where the cohesion of communities and the dynamics of teamwork are being redefined. Our study objective is to delve into the mechanisms through which virtual worlds influence user experiences in collaborative settings and determine their effects on collaborative outcomes. Employing a mixed-methods approach, our research seeks to elucidate the complexities of virtual collaboration and contribute valuable perspectives to the flourishing field of digital interaction studies.
