銀星勳章
銀星勳章（英文：Silver Star），係美軍一項跨軍種通用嘅勛獎，又係聯邦軍事勛獎入面最高級嘅軍事獎章。銀星勳章係為咗表彰面對敵人嗰陣時做出英勇行為，但又未達到榮譽勳章，或者服務十字勳章授予條件嘅人；空軍飛行員擊落五架飛機或者以上之後，就可以攞[1]。
史
[編輯]銀星勳章嘅前身係1918年7月設立嘅「嘉獎星」。1932年7月，美國戰爭部下令以銀星勳章嚟取代一戰嗰陣時設立嘅嘉獎星。美國國會響1942年8月授權美國海軍頒發銀星勳章，12月授權美國陸軍頒發。現存關於銀星勳章嘅規定位於美國法典嘅第十卷。美國國防部無保留銀星勳章嘅授予記錄，有調查顯示自從銀星勳章創立以嚟，大約頒發咗10萬到15萬枚[2]。
大衛·哈克沃思上校係最多次被授予銀星勳章數嘅人。佢響韓戰同越戰期間，得到十枚銀星勳章。1944年，陸軍女護士瑪麗·羅伯茨中尉、依萊恩·羅伊少尉、麗塔·弗吉尼亞·魯爾克少尉同埋艾倫·安斯沃思少尉因為撤離嗰陣時嘅英勇表現，成為首度獲頒銀星勳章嘅女性。[3]
外觀
[編輯]銀星勳章係一個外徑38毫米嘅金色五角星，金星嘅中間有一圈月桂花環，環繞住銀色五角星同金色嘅射線。勳章背面刻住「授予行動中嘅英勇行為」（英文：FOR GALLANTRY IN ACTION）嘅字樣。綬帶闊35毫米。[4]
