Eryck is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series.^[1][2]

Biography

Breath of the Wild

Eryck is a Hylian traveler in search of self-discovery.^[3] He can be found beside a Campfire on Rabia Plain.

When Link first speaks to Eryck, he asks if he heard him humming.^[4] Eryck explains that he was intending to travel to Zora's Domain, but he became lost and almost gave up.^[5] Before this could happen, however, he heard a voice coming from the Lanayru Tower, reigniting his interest.^[6] Despite this, he is unable to cross Rutala River.^[7]

Link is able to ask Eryck about the locations on his journey.^[8] When asked about Zora's Domain, he shares that it is a town in Lanayru, but he is unable to reach it due to needing to cross the Rutala River.^[9] Due to how hard reaching Zora's Domain is, he decided to give up on visiting it.^[10] If Link asks about Lanayru Tower, Eryck explains that if one crosses Rutala River, they will be able to see it on the opposite bank.^[11] He claims that he heard a voice coming from the top of it, and he wonders if someone is up there.^[12] Finally, if Link asks about Rutala River, Eryck reveals that it is the widest river in Lanayru.^[13] Since it is dangerous to swim across it, Eryck suggests that Link pass it by way of Linebeck Island.^[14]
