Professor of Economics in Bologna since 2020. Ph.D in Economics in December 2007 at the London School of Economics. His main research interest is empirical microeconomics. He has been working on political economy, economics of identity, citizenship rights and assimilation of migrants, cultural diffusion and cultural persistence. In these topics he has published in journals such as Review of Economics and Statistics, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Economic Journal, Journal of Economic Growth, Journal of the European Economic Association, Journal of Law and Economics, Games and Economic Behavior. PI in research projects funded by MIUR-PRIN, University of Bologna and University of Sussex, co-PI in a research project funded by the British Academy. IZA Research Fellow.
