International networking

Chemnitz University of Technology is actively integrating into the global knowledge community. For this reason, it co-operates with more than 120 partner institutions world-wide by the intensive exchange of students and scientists as well as by promoting joint research projects.

Additionally, Chemnitz University of Technology is very active in the area of international marketing as an attractive and promising location for studies and science. For this reason, the university is present at selected international recruiting and networking fairs world-wide. Despite its global orientation TU Chemnitz not neglects to also integrate into the neighboring regions. An expression of that objective is the organization of so-called "taster weeks" for pupils of the neighboring countries the Czech Republic, Poland, and Hungary within the program "guidance-counselling initiative German partner schools abroad (BIDS)".

Furthermore, Chemnitz University of Technology also offers a range of scientific and linguistic summer schools which shall serve i.a. not only to the transfer of knowledge and abilities but also to the further enhancement of cooperation with partner universities worldwide and to the attraction of future international students and PhD-students to Chemnitz University of Technology.

In order to ensure a high quality of international offers, Chemnitz University of Technology has joined the Code of Conduct for German Higher Education Projects Abroad which was elaborated by a group of international experts on the invitation of DAAD and German Rectors' Conference.
