He was behind a lot of really good players at Clemson, so when it's his turn to probably start and get even more PT he bolts. Makes sense

RJ was never gonna start over Schef and brownell wasn’t gonna play him at center. At most he was getting 20 minutes a game. He was too good of a player to sit on the bench but lack of positional versatility made it difficult for him to find minutes at Clemson

He wasn't told that he he would be a huge part of the focus for next year. He wasn't reassured.

We probably agree on 70% of politics, but just not on the dude you support. We agree on sports more though. True.

Hard to grow with limited minutes. More opportunity for playing time elsewhere. He made the right call for himself.

Weird decision to leave when he had a chance to take on a bigger role. But he has to make the best decision for him. Time to move on.

Myles Foster is a better overall playernow. With his long arms and wingspan he plays like he is 6-11.

He wasnt really going to get an expanded role. In fact his role may have decreased next year. Remember that bas leyte was injured for nearly the entire year last year. Godfrey was the first big man off the bench if either schef or PJ exited the game. Next year he is still sitting behind schef (who is going to be a focal point of the offense), and christian reeves should be available is a 7 foot center. Christian reeves is significantly more athletic than bas leyte.
I could only imagine the amount of crying on this board if we started godfrey and schef

Is there a way for CBB to put a social media ban on current and former players?

We don’t need disparaging remarks like this floating around our program.

Man, I hate that. Just glad to see Wells returned after all the trauma. Must have been horrible. Glad Graham sorted it all out. You are free to forget again. LOL!

Yep, a real team player, just had to put himself first...because he wasn't good

enough to start at Clemson...where we didn't develop him, just the players in front of him apparently...Just say you left for the money like Mukuba...Nobody seems to mind when you say you left for the money

"I’m a real team player and I invest in my team. I just think I really had to put me first in this."
That's a direct contradiction. I strongly support the rights of athletes to transfer for better opportunities and second chances since eligibility is so limited. Sometimes team cultures can be toxic or just be a bad fit, plus coaches can leave or get fired, which can change the whole program. I think it's not right to try to force someone to stay at a particular school when it's difficult to know in advance how things are actually going to go, and change can happen so quickly and unexpectedly. Having said that, I still wish athletes would just be honest about their reasons for transferring instead of putting out these bogus positive statements. However, I do somewhat understand the reasoning due to wanting to avoid the negative publicity.

Pretty much anything in the paint Foster and Godfrey look very similar getting the ball in the basket. FTs and a jumpshot might put Foster above Godfrey at this point.

Over 70 inch arms give Foster an advantage plus look at the stats.

However, an advantage for Godfrey is that he has 2 more years to develop, and a starting role at Gawja could lead to great opportunities for him. Also, he really improved over his time at Clemson. So I still espect him to become NBA prospect - both of them actually.
