(Sorry if this is Germans). From North Carolina.... coming to a state near you soon?

https://mediahub.unc.edu/n-c-high-school-public-athletes-stand-to-profit-after-new-nil-ruling/

This is officially way out of hand now... seems to me.

for at least 3 or 4 years.

Nothing is out of hand. Why worry about what other people get paid?

There are high schools who can’t hardly afford to field a football team and now you want to pay the players.
1. Most of them are not good enough to get paid
2 it’s not name/image/likeness it’s schools paying players to go to football factories
3. It’s just stupid

Why do you get to be the authority on how private citizens spend their money?

The control freakishness that some people have about this is appalling.

You can’t argue with ignorance and yes it is asinine to say the least. What NIL does a high school kid have? #### I’m guessing most of these college kids do not have legit deals.

However, it's legal in 31 states and D.C.

That might help the schools that struggle at least a little.

High School NIL has not passed legislative or judicial muster in S.C. as far as I know.

It was bull$hit 4 years ago and it’s bull$hit now …paying a high school or college student is insane …stop showing up and this will stop I promise you

Nobody is demanding athletes work for free. They aren't required to play college sports.

So you’re admitting that the college is offering something profitable to the players without paying them. Interesting….. (not to mention an (lol) education)

Exactly right.

Bet he can’t name one player in the history of college sports that was forced to play.

Because there aren’t any.

It's not about forcing anyone to play.
It's about it being illegal for the NCAA to interfere in private business deals between two entities.

I predicted this 2 years ago ...it won't stop there either...it'll finally the way down into the junior varsity ranks, poisoning the young minds of children and parents will undoubtedly exploit their kids to make a buck as well.

You have major lack of self confidence or “hey look at me “ syndrome if your a grown man buying a 16-22 yr old to play on your favorite team so you can in turn look at your co- worker and say my team is better than yours due to me out bidding you for that 18 year old.

If I won the lottery , i couldn’t bring myself to do it. Organizations like IPTAY, fine whatever. but all this crap can stop tomorrow if grown men will quit giving them money to run fast. End of story
