And in the post game interview Dabo said he was not happy with how the backups played. It was as if they didn't think they were going to play and weren't focused. He said they would be fixing that before they play Open.

Criticisms aren't necessarily or predominantly about an inability to accept that someone else is better than you at something - that idea is a subtle attempt to discredit the criticism itself. It's more about the person disagreeing with the criticism being unable to simply disagree without playing that false card.
Everyone takes issue with decisions made by people that generally know more than us because we know that anyone can have blind spots and/or be affected by their closeness to the situation.

If people disagree w/ the criticism, that's absolutely fine. But reflexive characterizations of it as being a know-it-all who thinks they generally know more football than Dabo is a false accusation in so many instances. People in general, the vast, vast majority of people, criticize those who specialize in an area that they ("they" the critic) don't. This can easily be abused, but is also frequently entirely legitimate.

Oh Francis. You'll get a ton of clicks with this post. Obviously Dabo and every coach he has working with him know more than 99.8% - .2% probably know as much because they're coaches themselves.
But you make a huge assumption stating that someone who posts a question regarding x and o's, recruiting, or coaches decisions creates anxiety and worry. I can only speak for me, it creates enjoyable moments to debate. And no, I would never think it'd ever change his approach. But I enjoy a civil discussion. Especially the x and o's.

That’s kinda like asking why fans are short for fanatic. I see those that are rabid fans as more the norm. It’s the blind cheerleaders that have always worried me. Thanks for self identification. You’re the type that worshiped at the altar of Ken Hatfield while I lead boosters to pull funding to get him fired. 10-2 with a NC roster just isn’t acceptable. People are always going to point out issues. Especially in college football. We’re vested in clemson university. Don’t confuse pointing out issues with not loving Clemson. and if there is one thing I know about football, calling plays in the NFL is much harder than in college. My quarterbacks can hit the skinny post, and the sluggo every time, I have been working on their agility and route running in the Pressoasn. We have been unstoppable and have not lost a game where I did not have to unplug the console in 12 years, the Eagles beat us once but our starting QB was injured and I have a 55 man roster with 1 QB, 1 reciever, 1 back, and the rest are lineman. That is another thing Dabo should look into, only one guy can have the ball at a time, so the more guys blocking the better your chances.

The premise of your statement is a load of crap. I’m not questioning whether he can coach. My concern is how the playoff committee will respond to the games we play. I don’t believe they watch all the games. Therefore, margin of victory matters. We had a 24 point lead and decided not to keep working hard. We had players on the field on defensethat had no business being out there on defense.

Normally I’d agree but when you play absolutely nobody all year other than the team that blew you out I beg to differ. If we lose the ACCCG and are 11-2 and there are a number of SEC and Big10 11-2 teams we could very well be left out. To believe otherwise is foolish.

I’m glad the reserves get a chance to develop when the game is in hand.
Also, I worry that because the reserves performed so badly, members of the media who may not watch the game, won’t understand it 38-10 going into the 4th. Clemson dominated the game. The reserves by performing so bad, made the game appear differently than it was in reality.
I don’t understand why it’s so hard to understand this.

The theory goes: even a bad team in the Big 10 or Sorry Excuse Conference is better than all others.
Many of the people who post on Tnet have bought into that: hook, line, sinker.
They can't enjoy a win b/c it wasn't against a team with a SEC or BIG patch on the jersey - as simple as it sounds that's it.
Anyone in the ACC is a disappointment if the defense allows just about any amount of yards and Heaven forbid touchdowns. And, the offense must put up "a ga-zillion" points or the Tigers aren't good enough in their "construct".
It's just a construct that has been built over time and having watched too much ESPN and FOX or Big 10 network. Give the SEC its due; the top of that league has been dominant. But, the absolute lie is that all of the rest of that league is annually just as good. And if the big 10 is a football conference with 2 teams and 3 championships over the last 25 years then the ACC is it's big brother and 2nd among all conferences in terms of National Championships over that time period with 4. Current ACC team Miami was in the Big East I believe in 2001 when they won or it would be 5 to the Big 10's 3. 3 current ACC teams have National Championships over the last 25 years(MOdern Era). No other conference besides the SEC can claim that. Yet, perception and propaganda rule, because some folks are easily persuaded. And, don't look at all the facts besides the easily accessible ones provided by the before mentioned networks.
