     Robert Wharton was born in 1837 at Bromley, Kent, England.¹ He was the son of Robert Wharton and Catherine Mary Croft.¹

     Catherine Mary Croft was born on 12 January 1801.² She was the daughter of Reverend Robert Nicholas Croft and Elizabeth Wanley Bowes.¹ She married Robert Wharton on 2 July 1832 at St. May Stoke, Ipswich, Suffolk, England.¹ She died in 1876.¹
     From 2 July 1832, her married name became Wharton.¹

     Elizabeth Wharton was born in 1836.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Wharton and Catherine Mary Croft.¹

     Alice Wharton was born in 1837.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Wharton and Catherine Mary Croft.¹

     Matilda Wharton was born in 1839.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Wharton and Catherine Mary Croft.¹

     Reverend Robert Nicholas Croft was born on 3 June 1754.² He was the son of Stephen Croft and Henrietta Thompson.² He married Elizabeth Wanley Bowes, daughter of George Wanly Bowes and Anne Hutton, on 28 August 1779.² He died on 23 March 1831 at age 76.²

     Elizabeth Wanley Bowes was baptised on 18 March 1761.² She was the daughter of George Wanly Bowes and Anne Hutton.² She married Reverend Robert Nicholas Croft, son of Stephen Croft and Henrietta Thompson, on 28 August 1779.² She died on 2 May 1841 at age 80.²
     From 28 August 1779, her married name became Croft.¹

     Elizabeth Marianne Croft was born on 23 December 1785.² She was the daughter of Reverend Robert Nicholas Croft and Elizabeth Wanley Bowes.¹ She died on 2 April 1788 at age 2.²

     Anne Croft was born on 24 September 1789.² She was the daughter of Reverend Robert Nicholas Croft and Elizabeth Wanley Bowes.¹ She died on 24 December 1852 at age 63.²

     Elizabeth Croft was born on 18 February 1799.² She was the daughter of Reverend Robert Nicholas Croft and Elizabeth Wanley Bowes.¹ She died in 1873.²
