     Colonel Geoffrey Ernald Sparrow was born on 26 January 1923 at Alderley Edge, Cheshire, England.1 He married Elizabeth Joan Wilbraham, daughter of Major Edward Jack Wilbraham and Evelyn Martin, in 1949.1 He died on 20 July 2014 at age 91.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.1 He was Commanding Officer of the Cheshire Yeomanry in 1960.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1969.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cheshire.1

     Sir Ralph Harry Carr-Ellison was born on 8 December 1925 at Hedgeley, Alnwick, Northumberland, England.1 He was the son of John Campbell Carr-Ellison and Hermione Daphne Indica Cradock.2 He married, firstly, Mary Clare Kavanagh, daughter of Major Arthur Thomas MacMorrough Kavanagh, The MacMorrough and Minna Alice Buxton, in 1951.1 He married, secondly, Gay Walsh in 1998.1 He died on 26 August 2014 at age 88 at London, England.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was appointed Knight in 1973.1 He was a practising chairman of Tyne-Tees Television between 1974 and 1997.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear between 1984 and 2000.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Northumberland.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1999.1
