     Elizabeth Jane Elmhirst was born on 15 July 1834 at Lincolnshire, England.1 She was the daughter of William Elmhirst and Elizabeth Yerburgh.1 She married Colonel Edmond Ruck-Keene on 8 December 1864.1 She died on 9 December 1875 at age 41.1
     From 8 December 1864, her married name became Ruck-Keene.1
