     Jean Mercer of Aldie was baptised on 7 October 1694 at St. Martins, Perth, Perthshire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Sir Laurence Mercer of Aldie and Helen Mercer of Aldie.1,3 She married Hon. Robert Mercer, son of William Murray, 2nd Lord Nairne and Margaret Nairne, on 16 August 1720 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2 She died on 1 December 1749 at age 55.1
