     Major Peter de Barton Vernon Wallop William-Powlett was born on 22 October 1903 at Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, WalesG.2 He was the son of Major Barton Newton Wallop William-Powlett and Emily Charlotte Reibey.1,3 He married Hon. Katherine Elizabeth Keyes, daughter of Admiral Roger John Brownlow Keyes, 1st Baron Keyes and Eva Mary Salvin Bowlby, on 30 July 1935.1 He died on 26 October 1988 at age 85 at London, England.4,5
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 7th Hussars.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Hussars.2 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1944, when he became a POW.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1941.1 He was member of the London Stock Exchange.2
