     Dean Jack Eyre was born on 8 May 1914 at Westport, New Zealand.1,2 He was the son of Richard Booth Dudley Eyre and Mabel Tatton.3 He married Naomi Patricia Arnoldson, daughter of Louis Arnoldson, on 15 November 1937.1 He died on 19 May 2007 at age 93 at Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.2
     He was educated at Auckland University College, Auckland, New ZealandG.1 He was educated at Hamilton High School, Hamilton, New ZealandG.1 He was owner and chairman of AIRCO (NZ) Ltd between 1936 and 1970.1,2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [New Zealand] between 1949 and 1966.1 He held the office of Minister of Customs, Industry & Commerce [New Zealand] between 1954 and 1956.1 He held the office of Minister of Housing [New Zealand] between 1956 and 1961.1 He held the office of Minister of Police [New Zealand] between 1956 and 1963.1 He held the office of Minister of Tourism [New Zealand] between 1956 and 1968.1 He held the office of Minister of Defence [New Zealand] between 1961 and 1968.1 He held the office of New Zealand High Commissioner in Canada between 1968 and 1973.1 He lived in 1976 at 98 Eyre Court, St. John's Wood, London, EnglandG.1

     Naomi Patricia Arnoldson was the daughter of Louis Arnoldson.2 She married Dean Jack Eyre, son of Richard Booth Dudley Eyre and Mabel Tatton, on 15 November 1937.1 She died in August 2006.3
     From 15 November 1937, her married name became Eyre.
