     Sir Michael John Bewes Grierson of Lag, 12th Bt. was born on 24 July 1921.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Alexander George William Grierson and Violet Ethel Bewes.1 He married Valerie Anne Wright, daughter of Russell George Wright, on 17 April 1971.2 He died on 24 March 2008 at age 86.3
     He was educated at Warden House School, Deal, Kent, EnglandG.2 He was educated at St. Edmund's School, Canterbury, Kent, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1946, with the Royal Air Force.2 He was a civil engineer.2 He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Grierson, of Lag, co. Dumfries [N.S., 1685] on 5 May 1987.2,3 He lived in 2003 at 40C Palace Road, Streatham Hill, London, EnglandG.2

     Pamela Violet Grierson was born on 23 April 1925.1 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Alexander George William Grierson and Violet Ethel Bewes.1 She married Richard Wallace Vernon, son of Herbert Wallace Vernon and Gertrude Mary Jackson, on 8 January 1955 at St. Mary's Church, Walmer, Kent, EnglandG.1,2 She died on 10 February 2017 at age 91.3
     From 8 January 1955, her married name became Vernon.1 She lived in 2003 at Park Lodge, 46 Park Road, Aldeburgh, Suffolk, EnglandG.1

     Richard Wallace Vernon was born on 18 October 1927.2 He is the son of Herbert Wallace Vernon and Gertrude Mary Jackson.2 He married Pamela Violet Grierson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Alexander George William Grierson and Violet Ethel Bewes, on 8 January 1955 at St. Mary's Church, Walmer, Kent, EnglandG.1,3
     He was educated at Loretto School, Muselborough, East Lothian, ScotlandG.2 He graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery.2 He was a director of R. K. Harrison, J. I.      Frederick Vedast Grierson was born on 28 November 1888.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Davidson Grierson of Lag, 9th Bt. and Fannie White.1 He married Frederica Skipp, daughter of Arthur Frederick Skipp, in 1909.1 He died on 14 February 1922 at age 33.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 5th Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers.1 He fought in the First World War, in the Middle East, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He fought in the Gallipoli Campaign.2
