     His last will was dated 20 April 1595.3 He lived at Macetown, County Meath, IrelandG.1

     Francis Savile Crossley, 2nd Baron Somerleyton was born on 1 June 1889.1 He was the son of Savile Brinton Crossley, 1st Baron Somerleyton and Phyllis de Bathe.1,3 He married Bridget Hoare, daughter of William Douro Hoare and Mary Ida Lillian Rate, on 1 July 1924.1 He died on 15 July 1959 at age 70.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 9th Lancers.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1915, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1915.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Suffolk.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Suffolk.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Somerleyton, of Somerleyton, co. Suffolk [U.K., 1916] on 25 February 1935.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Crossley [U.K., 1863] on 25 February 1935.1
