     Lady Mary Maule was the daughter of George Maule, 2nd Earl of Panmure.1 She married, firstly, Charles Erskine, 22nd/5th Earl of Mar, son of John Erskine, 21st/4th Earl of Mar and Jean Mackenzie, circa 2 April 1674.1 She married, secondly, Colonel John Erskine, son of Sir Charles Erskine of Alva and Mary Hope, on 29 April 1697.1
     After her marriage, Lady Mary Maule was styled as Countess of Mar circa 2 April 1674. From circa 2 April 1674, her married name became Erskine.

     Rt. Rev. Hon. Richard Ponsonby was the son of William Brabazon Ponsonby, 1st Baron Ponsonby of Imokilly and Hon. Louisa Molesworth.1 He married Frances Staples, daughter of Rt. Hon. John Staples and Hon. Henrietta Molesworth, in 1804.1 He died on 27 October 1853.1
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)2 He held the office of Bishop of Raphoe.2 He held the office of Bishop of Derry in 1852.1

     John Erskine, 23rd/6th Earl of Mar was born in 1675.2 He was the son of Charles Erskine, 22nd/5th Earl of Mar and Lady Mary Maule.1 He married, firstly, Lady Margaret Hay, daughter of Thomas Hay, 7th Earl of Kinnoull and Hon. Margaret Drummond, on 6 April 1703.3 He married, secondly, Lady Frances Pierrepont, daughter of Evelyn Pierrepont, 1st Duke of Kingston-upon-Hull and Lady Mary Feilding, on 20 July 1714.1 He died in May 1732 at Aachen, GermanyG.1
     He succeeded as the 11th Lord Erskine [S., 1438] on 23 May 1689.1 He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Mar [S., 1565] on 23 May 1689.1 He succeeded as the 23rd Earl of Mar [S., c. 1115] on 23 May 1689.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)      Lady Frances Pierrepont was baptised on 8 June 1690 at St. James, Westminster, London, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of Evelyn Pierrepont, 1st Duke of Kingston-upon-Hull and Lady Mary Feilding.1 She married John Erskine, 23rd/6th Earl of Mar, son of Charles Erskine, 22nd/5th Earl of Mar and Lady Mary Maule, on 20 July 1714.1 She died on 4 March 1761 at age 70, insane.1
     From 20 July 1714, her married name became Erskine. After her marriage, Lady Frances Pierrepont was styled as Countess of Mar on 20 July 1714.

     Lady Margaret Hay was the daughter of Thomas Hay, 7th Earl of Kinnoull and Hon. Margaret Drummond.2 She married John Erskine, 23rd/6th Earl of Mar, son of Charles Erskine, 22nd/5th Earl of Mar and Lady Mary Maule, on 6 April 1703.1 She died on 25 April 1707.1
     After her marriage, Lady Margaret Hay was styled as Countess of Mar on 6 April 1703. From 6 April 1703, her married name became Erskine.

     Thomas Hay, 7th Earl of Kinnoull was born circa 1660.1 He was the son of George Hay and Marion Nicolson.2 He married Hon. Margaret Drummond, daughter of William Drummond, 1st Viscount Strathallan and Elizabeth Johnston, on 20 December 1683.1 He died on 5 January 1718/19.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Perthshire [Scotland] between 1693 and 1697.1 He was created 1st Viscount of Dupplin [Scotland] on 31 December 1697, with a special remainder to his heirs of entail.1 He succeeded as the 7th Viscount of Dupplin [S., 1633] on 31 December 1697.1 He succeeded as the 7th Lord Hay of Kinfauns [S., 1633] on 31 December 1697.1 He was a Commissioner for the Union of English and Scottish Parliaments.1 He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Kinnoull [S., 1633] on 10 May 1709.1 He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1710 and 1714.1 In 1715 he was imprisoned Edinburgh Castle on suspicion of Jacobite sympathies.1

     Hon. Margaret Drummond was the daughter of William Drummond, 1st Viscount Strathallan and Elizabeth Johnston.2,3 She married Thomas Hay, 7th Earl of Kinnoull, son of George Hay and Marion Nicolson, on 20 December 1683.3 She died on 21 March 1695/96.3
     She was also known as Elizabeth Drummond.3 Her married name became Hay.

     Thomas Erskine, Lord Erskine was born circa 1705.1 He was the son of John Erskine, 23rd/6th Earl of Mar and Lady Margaret Hay.1 He married Lady Charlotte Hope, daughter of Charles Hope, 1st Earl of Hopetoun and Lady Henrietta Johnstone, on 1 October 1741.1 He died on 16 March 1766, without issue.1
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Stirling between 1728 and 1734.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Clackmannan between 1747 and 1754.1

She married Thomas Erskine, Lord Erskine, son of John Erskine, 23rd/6th Earl of Mar and Lady Margaret Hay, on 1 October 1741.2 She died on 24 November 1788 at age 68.2
     Her married name became Erskine.
