     John Crichton Stuart McDouall was born on 5 July 1818.1 He was the son of Reverend William McDouall and Euphemia Gaudin.1 He married, firstly, Ellen Maria Fitzgerald, daughter of Robert Appleyard Fitzgerald, on 23 February 1841.1 He married, secondly, Susan Mary Hartigan, daughter of Reverend Edward Hartigan, on 28 March 1864.1 He died in January 1891 at age 72.1
     He lived at New Freugh, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1
