     Sir Robert Baird of Saughtonhall, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1690.1 He was the son of Sir James Baird of Saughtonhall, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Hamilton.1 He married, firstly, Janet Baikie, daughter of Robert Baikie, before 1729.1 He married, secondly, Helen Hope after 1733.1 He died on 8 September 1740.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Baird, of Saughton Hall, co. Edinburgh [N.S., 1696] in May 1715.1

     Janet Baikie was the daughter of Robert Baikie.1 She married Sir Robert Baird of Saughtonhall, 3rd Bt., son of Sir James Baird of Saughtonhall, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Hamilton, before 1729.1 She died on 11 June 1733.1
     From before 1729, her married name became Baird.1

     Sir David Baird of Saughtonhall, 4th Bt. was born circa 1729.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Baird of Saughtonhall, 3rd Bt. and Janet Baikie.1 He died on 1 July 1745 at Lisle, FranceG, from wounds received in action.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Baird, of Saughton Hall, co. Edinburgh [N.S., 1696] on 8 September 1740.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the the Royals.1 He fought in the Battle of Fontenoy on 30 April 1745.1

     Sir William Baird of Saughtonhall, 5th Bt. was born after 1729.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Baird of Saughtonhall, 3rd Bt. and Janet Baikie.1 He married Frances Gardiner, daughter of Colonel James Gardiner and Lady Frances Erskine, in 1750.1 He died on 17 August 1771 at Saughton Hall, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Baird, of Saughton Hall, co. Edinburgh [N.S., 1696] on 1 July 1745.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

     From 1750, her married name became Baird.1
