     Lady Isabel Douglas was born circa April 1642.1 She was the daughter of William Douglas, 1st Marquess of Douglas and Lady Mary Gordon.1 She was baptised on 21 May 1642 at Canongate, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2 She married William Douglas, 1st Duke of Queensberry, son of James Douglas, 2nd Earl of Queensberry and Lady Margaret Stewart, in 1657.2 She died on 2 December 1691.
     After her marriage, Lady Isabel Douglas was styled as Countess of Queensberry in 1671. After her marriage, Lady Isabel Douglas was styled as Marchioness of Queensberry on 11 February 1681/82. After her marriage, Lady Isabel Douglas was styled as Duchess of Queensberry on 3 March 1684.

     William Douglas, 1st Duke of Queensberry was born in 1637.1 He was the son of James Douglas, 2nd Earl of Queensberry and Lady Margaret Stewart.3 He married Lady Isabel Douglas, daughter of William Douglas, 1st Marquess of Douglas and Lady Mary Gordon, in 1657.1 He died on 28 March 1695.1

     Lady Jean Douglas was born between 1643 and 1655.1 She was the daughter of William Douglas, 1st Marquess of Douglas and Lady Mary Gordon.1 She married James Drummond, 4th Earl of Perth, son of James Drummond, 3rd Earl of Perth and Lady Anne Gordon, on 18 January 1670.1 She died circa 1676.
     She was also known as Jane Douglas. From 18 January 1670, her married name became Drummond.1 After her marriage, Lady Jean Douglas was styled as Countess of Perth on 2 June 1675.

     James Drummond, 4th Earl of Perth was born circa 1649.3 He was the son of James Drummond, 3rd Earl of Perth and Lady Anne Gordon.4 He married, firstly, Lady Jean Douglas, daughter of William Douglas, 1st Marquess of Douglas and Lady Mary Gordon, on 18 January 1670.1 He married by contract, secondly, Lilias Drummond, daughter of Sir James Drummond, 2nd of Machany and Anne Hay, circa 5 October 1676.3 He married, thirdly, Lady Mary Gordon, daughter of Lewis Gordon, 3rd Marquess of Huntly and Mary Grant, circa January 1685/86.5 He died on 11 May 1716 at Saint Germain-en-Laye, France.5
     He held the office of Justice General [Scotland].4 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Perth [S., 1605] on 2 June 1675.1 He succeeded as the 8th Lord Drummond [S., 1488] on 2 June 1675.4 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)      Lady Lucy Douglas was born between 1644 and 1654.1 She was the daughter of William Douglas, 1st Marquess of Douglas and Lady Mary Gordon.1 She married Robert Maxwell, 4th Earl of Nithsdale, son of John Maxwell, 3rd Earl of Nithsdale and Elizabeth Gordon, on 23 May 1668 at South Leith, Midlothian, Scotland.1,3 She died on 8 January 1713.1
     From 23 May 1668, her married name became Maxwell.

     Sir James Douglas, 1st Lord Mordington was born circa 1591.1 He was the son of William Douglas, 10th Earl of Angus and Elizabeth Oliphant.1 He married, firstly, Anne Oliphant, daughter of Laurence Oliphant, 5th Lord Oliphant and Lilias Maderty, before July 1624.1 He married, secondly, Lady Elizabeth Hay, daughter of Francis Hay, 9th Earl of Erroll and Lady Elizabeth Douglas, before 20 May 1643.2 He died on 11 February 1656.1
     He held the office of Provost of Abernethy before 1608.1 He was appointed Knight between 1625 and 1627.1 He was created 1st Lord Mordington [Scotland] on 14 November 1641.3 He lived at Mordington, Berwickshire, ScotlandG.1 He fought in the Battle of Worcester on 3 September 1651, where he was captured by the Parliamentarians.1

     Anne Oliphant was the daughter of Laurence Oliphant, 5th Lord Oliphant and Lilias Maderty.2,3 She married Sir James Douglas, 1st Lord Mordington, son of William Douglas, 10th Earl of Angus and Elizabeth Oliphant, before July 1624.1
     From before July 1624, her married name became Douglas. After her marriage, Anne Oliphant was styled as Baroness Mordington on 14 November 1641.1

     Laurence Oliphant, 5th Lord Oliphant was born on 25 March 1583.1 He was the son of Laurence Oliphant, Master of Oliphant and Lady Christian Douglas.1,2 A contract for the marriage of Laurence Oliphant, 5th Lord Oliphant and Lilias Maderty was signed on 29 October 1603.2 He died before October 1630, without male issue.1
     He sold Gask, Perthshire to Laurence Oliphant, 1st of Gask.3 He succeeded as the 5th Lord Oliphant [S., 1464] in 1593.1 He resigned his peerage to the Crown for re-grant, but the re-grant had not taken place at his death, leaving succession at the king's pleasure.3
