She married Wilhelm I (IX) Kurfürst von Hessen-Kassel, son of Friedrich II Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel and Mary Hanover, Princess of Great Britain, on 1 September 1764 at Christiansborg Castle, Copenhagen, DenmarkG.1 She died on 14 January 1820 at age 72 at Cassel, GermanyG.1,2
     She gained the title of HRH Princess Caroline of Denmark.1

     Louise Oldenburg, Princess of Denmark was born on 30 January 1750 at Christiansborg Castle, Copenhagen, DenmarkG.1 She was the daughter of Frederik V Oldenburg, King of Denmark and Louisa Hanover, Princess of Great Britain and Ireland. She married Karl Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel, son of Friedrich II Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel and Mary Hanover, Princess of Great Britain, on 30 August 1766 at Christiansborg Castle, Copenhagen, DenmarkG.1 She died on 12 January 1831 at age 80 at Schleswig, Holstein, GermanyG.1
     She gained the title of HRH Princess Lousie of Denmark.1 From 30 August 1766, her married name became von Hessen-Kassel.1

     Karl Wilhelm Fürst von Nassau-Usingen was born on 9 November 1735 at Usingen, Hessen-Nassau, GermanyG.2 He was the son of Karl Fürst zu Nassau-Usingen and Christiane Wilhelmine von Sachsen-Eisenach.3,4 He married Karoline Felicitas Gräfin zu Leiningen-Langsberg-Heidesheim, daughter of Christian Karl Reinhard Graf zu Leiningen-Dagsburg-Heidesheim and Katherine Polyxene Gräfin zu Solms-Rödelheim und Assenheim, on 16 April 1760 in a Heidesheim marriage.2 He died on 17 May 1803 at age 67 at Biebrich, Hessen, GermanyG.2
     He gained the title of Fürst von Nassau-Usingen.5 He gained the title of Prinz von Nassau-Saarbrücken.1

He married, firstly, Charlotte Frederike Herzogin von Mecklenburg-Schwerin, daughter of Friedrich Franz I Großherzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Luise Prinzessin von Sachsen-Gotha-Roda, on 21 June 1806 at Ludwigslust, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, GermanyG.1,2 He and Charlotte Frederike Herzogin von Mecklenburg-Schwerin were divorced in 1810.1 He married, secondly, Karoline Amelia Prinzessin von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg, daughter of Friedrich Christian II Herzog von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg and Louise Augusta Oldenburg, Princess of Denmark, on 22 May 1815 at Augustenborg, Jylland, DenmarkG.3 He died on 20 January 1848 at age 61 at Amalienborg Palace, Copenhagen, DenmarkG.4,2
     He gained the title of King Christian Frederik of Norway in 1814.5 He abdicated as King of Norway in 1814.5 He succeeded as the King Christian VIII of Denmark on 3 December 1839.1 He was crowned King of Denmark on 28 June 1840 at Copenhagen, DenmarkG.2
