     Lt.-Col. Joseph Charles Smijth-Windham was born on 14 March 1838.1 He was the son of Joseph Smijth-Windham and Katherine Trotter.1 He married, firstly, Emily Harriet Champion de Crespigny, daughter of Sir Claude William Champion de Crespigny, 3rd Bt., on 25 October 1876.1 He married, secondly, Frances Helen Currey, daughter of William Currey, on 11 May 1886.1 He died on 16 April 1915 at age 77.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1

     Emily Harriet Champion de Crespigny was the daughter of Sir Claude William Champion de Crespigny, 3rd Bt.1 She married Lt.-Col. Joseph Charles Smijth-Windham, son of Joseph Smijth-Windham and Katherine Trotter, on 25 October 1876.1 She died on 8 December 1878.1
     From 25 October 1876, her married name became Smijth-Windham.1

     Sir Claude William Champion de Crespigny, 3rd Bt. was born in 1818.2 He was the son of Augustus James Champion de Crespigny and Caroline Smijth. He married Mary Tyrell, daughter of Sir John Tyssen Tyrell, 2nd Bt., on 22 August 1843 at Boreham, Essex, England. He died in 1868.2
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Champion de Crespigny, of Champion Lodge, Cumberwell, co. Surrey [U.K., 1805] on 28 December 1829.1

     Thomas Bonhôte Henderson was the son of John Henderson.1 He married Katharine Emily Smijth-Windham, daughter of Lt.-Col. Joseph Charles Smijth-Windham and Emily Harriet Champion de Crespigny, on 9 February 1907.1 He died on 19 April 1920.1
     He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.)1 He lived at 123 Exeter Street, Salisbury, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2
