Motivation
Wikipedia includes plenty of lists. For many of these, we have hardly any idea (or structured data) what they are about. A few properties are available to link to list items (or to describe lists), but these aren't that useful to built such descriptions by increments, e.g.:
- for is a list of (P360) one needs to add and combine them in a specific order. More complex relations aren't possible.
- for Wikidata SPARQL query equivalent (P3921) one needs to identify all parts and write it down in sparql. One can't query which items or properties are being used.
As both items and properties are needed and these can't be combined in one property, above two proposals.

- Sample lists to cover with new or existing properties
- Wikidata:WikiProject_Lists/reports/badges/several
- Coverage with P360
- Wikidata:WikiProject Lists/numbers/P360 values
- How deep does it go for P360=Q5?
- Wikidata:WikiProject Lists/numbers/P360 qualifiers/lists of people
Discussion
- Comment maybe better labels could be found. Any suggestions?
--- Jura 07:15, 8 April 2018 (UTC) - Oppose I do not think we need additions to is a list of (P360) David (talk) 14:14, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- @ديفيد عادل وهبة خليل 2: How would you proceed with P360?
--- Jura 17:15, 9 April 2018 (UTC)- I do not think we need these two proposals David (talk) 14:51, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
- I understood that, but I was looking for help on how to do it using P360. Possibly, how it has already been done with P360.

- Comment The first example for list of Philippine films of 2018 (Q48850502) isn't specific enough. How to know for sure if it lists films made in the Philippines, or released in the Philippines, and does the year refer to the production year, or release year. What we really need is a way to claim the selection criteria for the list. But, even then we may still have a problem because some lists may be a bit mismatched across the different Wikis. - To fully nail it, I think SPARQL works well, but to get a better view of the 275000 lists, it would be good if we found a solution that needn't do them one by one in such detail. Above I added a summary of what could be done with P360 (and isn't really done).

- Comment I made some claims in list of Philippine films of 2018 (Q48850502) which could be one way to do this using existing properties. Danrok (talk) 13:25, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Danrok: Thanks for your feedback. I think that would be the thing to do with is a list of (P360). It works fairly well for this type of list and is also understood by Reasonator. However, it requires us to define "island" first than the other ones. Wikidata:WikiProject_Lists/reports/badges/several shows fairly important lists (at least for the involved Wikipedias). I don't think the approach works for those with "of" as qualifier nor e.g. list of UEFA club competition winners (Q2604779) and the like.
--- Jura 13:51, 17 April 2018 (UTC)- I'm not sure what you mean by '"of" as a qualifier'. list of UEFA club competition winners (Q2604779) is a list of association football club (Q476028), which despite its label is apparently the item for football clubs. The problem isn't the structure, since you could add a qualifier award received (P166), but there's no item for UEFA awards in general, I think. Ghouston (talk) 12:27, 23 April 2018 (UTC)

- Comment There's also the possibility of using main subject (P921) in some situations. Danrok (talk) 13:30, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
