    Distinguishing types of employees

    [edit]

For a college, I'm trying to specify a distinction between academic staff and administrative staff by saying 240 employees with qualifier "applies to part" faculty and 247 employees with qualifier "applies to part" administrative staff. But of (P642) isn't a valid qualifier for this property. Is there another way to do this? Help? {{u|Sdkb}}talk 22:32, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why you want to use of (P642) instead of applies to part, aspect, or form (P518)? Wostr (talk) 18:02, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    Oops, I should've used P518. That worked; thanks! {{u|Sdkb}}talk 19:40, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    FTEs

    [edit]

If the employees of an organisation are listed in terms of FTEs - Q1543700 (Full-time equivalents) - then Q52848401 (integer constraint) should not be an obligatory constraint. For tiny organisations like NGOs, e.g. EEPA = Q104688496, a new Wikipedia user felt upset about seeing an integer number of employees that was a lot bigger than the number of FTEs officially declared in European Commission registration.

Would it be worth lifting this constraint? or would it be better to create a new element which is 'number of FTEs' instead of 'number of employees'? Boud (talk) 23:54, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

    Add male/ and female population

    [edit]

Can I add male and female population as qualifiers? Germartin1 (talk) 08:59, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but I think this addition was not useful. "Female/male population" requires country (P17) and population (P1082) - but country (P17) cannot be specified for an international company and population (P1082) is inappropriate, instead it is employees (P1128).
I think that two new properties would make sense for this, e.g. "number of females/males", of which "female/male population" could then each be a sub-property. Buffty (talk) 21:15, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
