The Spiny Coppeller (トビトゲムシ?, lit.: "Flying Spiny Bug") is an enemy in Hey! Pikmin. It is a purple and, as the name would imply, spiked version of the Coppeller. It acts the same as the regular Coppellers, except it cannot be defeated by Pikmin, since any that touch its body get stabbed and killed. It is also never found holding an object, unlike the normal Coppeller.
Behavior[edit]
The Spiny Coppeller doesn’t directly interact with the player, instead it travels on a pre-determined path. They also generally appear in groups. When touched, it will damage the player and their Pikmin.
