Lucas Trivia[edit]
Hi there. Your trivia note to Lucas (SSBU) has been reverted, as the relevant trivia can instead be found on Lucas' page, and is better suited to that page as it's more relevant to his overarching character page rather than a single iteration of his appearances.
In addition, please don't engage in edit/revert warring with other users. Reverting each other multiple times only clogs edit histories and Special:RecentChanges, and it's far better to resolve a difference in opinion like this on the talk pages of the article in question rather than argue back and forth in edit summaries. The policy article SmashWiki:Only revert once may be a good read. – Emmett 08:03, 23 September 2018 (EDT)

What exactly is the point of decreasing the image size of the fighter battle images? It just makes them harder to see. Awesomelink234, the Super Cool Gamer (talk) 17:07, February 18, 2020 (EST)

Your trivia point in the page about Fighters[edit]
What’s your source that Alph was intended to be a clone of Olimar? SonDaniel (talk page) 00:57, April 23, 2020 (EDT)
Goro[edit]
As agreed upon here, characters that only appear as spirits do not get their own character page. As far as I know, Goro only appears as a spirit and is not a background character on Mementos. CookiesCreme 00:27, May 19, 2020 (EDT)
Your recent edits[edit]
Hey just wanted to let you know that you should be making all your "character -> fighter" edits in one go. The recent changes is being flooded with your edits. Señor Mexicano (talk) 00:55, July 22, 2020 (EDT)
It only lets me edit one category at a time. It doesn’t let me edit the whole page to make it faster. Diddy Kongstar (talk) 00:59, July 22, 2020 (EDT)
You can go to the top of the page and click "edit this page", hit ctrl+F (or Command+F, if you're on Mac), and type in "character" to replace with "fighter". Aidan, the Rurouni 01:00, July 22, 2020 (EDT)
Oh it seems like he is a mobile user, there is a trick that you can do to edit the whole page on mobile but I am not sure how to explain it. NPM Morr!? 01:01, July 22, 2020 (EDT)
I was able to switch to desktop view to edit the full page. Thank you. Diddy Kongstar (talk) 01:24, July 22, 2020 (EDT)
Consensus[edit]
Two people agreeing on something is not a consensus, in fact it's not enough for a final decision. CookiesCreme 15:58, August 21, 2020 (EDT)

Fighter Battle tables[edit]
I'm not sure about you, but I think having the cells centered looks worse than not centered. To me it draws more attention to the amount of white-space in the table. --CanvasK (talk) 20:10, November 29, 2020 (EST)
Smash Run[edit]
fyi, those are the original 5-minute versions, not those used on the stage.--95.223.73.164 12:36, July 8, 2021 (EDT)
The Akaneia Build[edit]
Hi, instead of deleting this page, I'm going to give you the option to move it to your userspace, so you can continue working on it in the event the mod becomes notable enough for its own page. Let me know if you want to preserve the page in your userspace. Omega Tyrant 20:09, May 29, 2022 (EDT)
Sure. Diddy Kongstar (talk) 23:29, May 29, 2022 (EDT)
A heads up, I moved it to a user subpage here, so that its page history is preserved, and to keep its talk page up, to keep a space open for any future discussion about putting it back in the mainspace. Omega Tyrant 04:00, June 7, 2022 (EDT)
Announcer calls[edit]
While you are uploading the announcer calls, add the newly created Category:Announcer calls categories (separated by game) to the upload summary. Also make sure to add the appropriate character category (eg c:Mario (SSB) for Mario in 64). Helps streamline things and prevents having to go back and edit them in. --CanvasK (talk) 14:15, June 28, 2022 (EDT)
- I've uploaded the 64 and Melee announcer calls so far. Brawl and onward would take a while since each language has a different announcer and some characters have other characters through alternate costumes. Diddy Kongstar (talk) 15:21, June 28, 2022 (EDT)
- All of the the English ones have been uploaded and added to each character page. The other languages need to be uploaded though. Diddy Kongstar (talk) 23:16, June 29, 2022 (EDT)
[edit]
Despite Echo Fighters and Miis being able to be stacked, it's already mentioned in other pages and looks very clunky since you have to mention that it's an option, and I see very few people even use this feature because some echo fighters have enough gameplay differences to treat them as separate characters competitively. I'm of the opinion that the "shares character slot with" part should only be used if the characters are directly linked in terms of gameplay, such as transforming characters. 68.4.176.97 19:47, July 18, 2022 (EDT)
- The Miis in Smash 4 share a character slot despite having completely different movesets and not being able to switch between each other. It is an option to have them stacked and other pages don't make it obvious who gets stacked with who. Plus, most of the Echo Fighters are nearly identical competitively, so they're already basically glorified alts. Diddy Kongstar (talk) 22:33, July 18, 2022 (EDT)
- I'm going to ask you to get consensus before doing this on the grounds that it is of questionable use and it spans many articles. Serpent King 22:24, July 22, 2022 (EDT)
- It's a legitimate feature in the game. It's the difference between an echo and a standard clone as they even share the same number. It isn't very well documented on the wiki and doesn't really explain who goes over who. Diddy Kongstar (talk) 22:29, July 22, 2022 (EDT)

Signature[edit]
To clarify on this, per SW:SIG you should avoid transcluding templates in your signature--substitution can sometimes be messy, which can lead to accidentally breaching the character limit as well as looking like nonsense in editing. Additionally, you shouldn't use mainspace images (in this case Diddy's head icon) in your signature. If you wish to use one, you will need to reupload it under another name (you'll probably get a warning about duplicate images, just hit the ignore button) and use that one. --CanvasK (talk) 22:38, July 30, 2022 (EDT)
- Slightly related, your name should also be readable on the default skin. The default blue on black doesn't quite work. I think you intended to make it red, should be an easy fix. To change the color of the text you'll need to put the span within the link, not around;
[[User:Diddy Kongstar|<span style="blah blah">Diddy Kongstar</span>]]
should work. --CanvasK (talk) 22:45, July 30, 2022 (EDT)
Moving the "Tier placement and history"[edit]
While it was a minor thing, I do have to wonder why you chose to move those sections up for 64, Melee, Brawl, and Smash 4 instead of moving the section (or what exists at the moment) down for Ultimate. Not only was it less work to do, but the wiki has done the similar format for quite some time, and it was just Ultimate that didn't match because no one bothered to change it. CookiesCreme 12:53, January 2, 2023 (EST)
- It looked weird to have the notable players listed before the characters' competitive history. Diddy Kongstar 19:21, January 2, 2023 (EST)
A remider of this, we can just change Ultimate's to match the others instead, and as Cookies said the way it's currently done is how the wiki has done it for years, and the reason Ultimate's is still inconsistent is likely an oversight rather than a new format.
Also, if the reverse is going to be done instead, changes like these also need a consensus before implemented. In general, major changes like a new format across many pages shouldn't be made without a proper agreement. Omega Toad, the Festive Shiny Litten. (Seasons greetings!) 21:23, March 9, 2023 (EST)
- Where would the consensus for this even be made? Diddy Kongstar 18:04, March 10, 2023 (EST)
- We have a general proposal board that you could have used. You could have also joined the Discord server and discuss it with people there. In any case, you gotta stop making these unilateral changes that you have a habit of doing without discussion or before the discussion reaches a consensus. Omega Tyrant 19:29, March 12, 2023 (EDT)
Unlock notices[edit]
It is preferred that images from games are uploaded at native resolution. The images you've uploaded recently are not possible on official hardware. I'd say it is best to hold off on uploading all of them unless you can get them at a proper resolution, and ideally in PNG format. --CanvasK (talk) 19:58, January 20, 2023 (EST)
- I'll just upload the Wii U ones for now as getting good images in the native resolution for the 3DS ones will be difficult. Diddy Kongstar 20:13, January 20, 2023 (EST)
Attack names[edit]
Would it be possible for you to compile a list of where you got the various attack names from? I think it'd be useful to have for clarity and future reference. --CanvasK (talk) 03:03, October 14, 2023 (EDT)
- The 64 attack names are from Smabura-Ken and the Melee ones are from the official strategy guide. Diddy Kongstar 22:43, October 15, 2023 (EDT)
Zelda Melee Move Names[edit]
Hi, I saw you added moves names to Zelda's Melee page a while back, do you actually own the guide itself? I ask because most of the move names I'm able to find referring to her appearance in that game are different from what's listed (e.g. more in-line with the names used in the later games), and some have unique names in Melee that are totally different from what's in the article currently. BubbleRevolution (talk) 12:51, July 2, 2024 (EDT)
- I used the names listed in the Official Player's Guide. Diddy Kongstar 22:42, July 2, 2024 (EDT)
- Do you know which guide it specifically is? And do you physically own it/have scans? The move names I'm seeing are cited from a strategy guide as well, it's entirely possible there were multiple guides with some naming differences between them. BubbleRevolution (talk) 13:31, July 6, 2024 (EDT)
- I saw it on the Internet Archives. It is the official guide from Nintendo Power. Diddy Kongstar 13:45, July 6, 2024 (EDT)
- Okay. I imagine you used Google Translate for the Japanese names, since the Nintendo Power guide is in English? That would explain the differences in naming. In the future, please avoid doing so, as the official Japanese names may be different from the English ones, and it's best not to list those until you have a definitive source for the Japanese names.
