Re: Minecraft: Wii U Edition
I wouldn't know because I don't play Minecraft or even the Mario re-skin. To be fair, don't you think that the article should cover older versions? --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 16:35, 20 February 2017 (EST)

Hi, I'm new here
Hi, I'm new here, my account is literally about an hour old. I saw the changes you made to the Flutter (character) article that you fixed. I didn't know of the other article on the species of flutter. LOL I am just trying to find a good place to start editing. Any suggestions? User:Tommy 8353/sig 5:54, 20 April 2017 (EST)
- Hi Tommy 8353! I don't really have any specific suggestions for a good place to start editing, but you can check out the maintenance page to see if there is anything you can do to help the Wiki. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 18:04, 20 April 2017 (EDT)
- okay, thank you! Also, how can I create my signature? 6:29, 20 April 2017 (EST)
- Glad I could help! See here for how to create signatures and see here for rules about signatures. To create a signature, you must be autoconfirmed, meaning you have to make five edits and wait four days. You have already made five edits, but you will still need to wait four days to become autoconfirmed. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 18:34, 20 April 2017 (EDT)
Ostro edit
Is this edit correct? --90.113.167.250 09:33, 22 April 2017 (EDT)
- I think it looks correct. I don't know if it needs to say "pink with pink wings", but other than that, I think it looks fine. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 09:36, 22 April 2017 (EDT)
Thanks! ^^ --90.113.167.250 09:43, 22 April 2017 (EDT)
Re: Mini Spec
When you start up the game it says "If you don't have any of these amiibo, that's okay. You can play as Mini Spec." I'm pretty sure it was spelled Mini Spec, but if it had a K, go ahead and revert my edits. I need to reinstall the game after the data on my storage device was corrupted. -YoshiFlutterJump (talk) 20:24, 22 April 2017 (EDT)
- Can confirm the name is "Mini Spek". Both the game and official site call it so. 20:34, 22 April 2017 (EDT)
- Ok, thanks! --TheFlameChomp (talk) 20:35, 22 April 2017 (EDT)
Re:Afoot in the foothills
Yet the fourth rule for redirects are that their titles have to be obscure enough to not be found on any MediaWiki searches. (T|C) 19:44, 23 April 2017 (EDT)
- Go ahead and ask him about rule four, then you can give a brief summary of his answer on my talk page. (T|C) 20:13, 23 April 2017 (EDT)
Welcome templates
Hey, regarding welcome templates, they are given to a user that makes any form of edit, really. So long as it isn't vandalism, but that's probably obvious. If anything, the welcome template can help a user make more constructive edits, as they can look over it to see if they're doing anything wrong.
Additionally, I don't think you can remove someone else's welcome template. It states that you can remove your own, but I believe removing someone else's falls under a level two offense, as it is technically removing someone else's comment/content. Not entirely sure on that, but I wouldn't worry about it. Just letting you know.
01:02, 30 April 2017 (EDT)
- Yeah, I realized that a little while after because I checked the policy a second time, though I figured it was to late to fix my mistake. Honestly, the only reason I thought it was ok is because I have seen other users doing it too (I wish I had noticed the next edit though) I also mistook this as you saying they specifically had to be constructive. Sorry about that! I'll make sure it will never happen again. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 07:59, 30 April 2017 (EDT)
- Ah, I knew there was one other person who did it. I couldn't remember who...
- Yeah, by "constructive", I mean pretty much anything other than vandalism and spam (and maybe forum talk). My conversation with Owencrazyboy9 (talk) was about him welcoming a user who hadn't made an edit yet, so the welcome template was pointless. 12:26, 30 April 2017 (EDT)
- I think another reason I removed the template is because I was unsure if they were adding unofficial names as a way to vandalize, though I assume they weren't, as they stopped adding them after they were given an informal reminder. And yeah, I did realize that your comment was referring to a user who had made no edits yet. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 18:13, 30 April 2017 (EDT)
Flurry edit
Is this the only difference between NES and SNES? --90.113.167.250 06:07, 30 April 2017 (EDT)

Hiya!
Hey Flamechomp! I am kind of new to this wiki, well, I joined 13 days ago.....Anyways, I was just wonder if you would like to be friends with me? I'm kinda getting tired of just editing all day, and it would be nice to get some conversations going on my talk page. I have only really interacted with people like Alex95, and I only talked to him when he was helping me with editing articles and whatnot. So, yeah, I just want to make some more friends here on the wiki and see how other people spend their time here. Thank you! тσα∂ωιℓℓ (talk) 18:40, 3 May 2017 (EDT)

Re: Template:Pmitem-infobox
Hm, I'll look into it. Not sure if there are enough non-Battle Card items for it to be worthwhile, though. Niiue (talk) 23:10, 6 May 2017 (EDT)
- Yeah, the only way I could see it working is if Stickers/Battle Cards all got their own pages, which probably won't happen anytime soon (and honestly wouldn't be worth it). Niiue (talk) 23:31, 6 May 2017 (EDT)

Proposal Concerns
Over on MarioWiki talk:Proposals/Archive#Split Archive Page by Year, you voted against the proposal. Please consider retracting your vote. I made a tweak to the main proposal based on comments. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 15:35, 15 May 2017 (EDT)
- Ok, I removed my vote. However, I do not plan on supporting it at the moment and would prefer to stay neutral. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 16:00, 15 May 2017 (EDT)
- That's fine by me. I just want you to be informed before you vote. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 16:21, 15 May 2017 (EDT)
You sure? Feel free to ask me any questions directly on my user talk or on the proposal page. Remember that what is absolute is the creation of subpages, not the look itself I chose. The look can be edited later, as Shokora (talk) was concerned about that. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 21:45, 17 May 2017 (EDT)
Note
I added the quotations on the Ostro page because i wasn't sure if it was a feather that was on it head or not. --90.113.167.250 12:46, 19 May 2017 (EDT)
- I removed them because they resemble feathers, and are connected to their body (along with being the same color). Also, as seen here, Ostros in the The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! also have pink feathers in the same location. Due to these reasons, I believe they are feathers. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 12:52, 19 May 2017 (EDT)
Magic Ball
I want to add an info about the unused model, i found one here, but i won't they think that im not following the rules and doing vandalism. Should i add this info? --90.113.167.250 04:12, 21 May 2017 (EDT)
- It wouldn't be considered vandalism if you added it, though on The Cutting Room Floor, it calls them "Question Mark Bubbles", and, as there is no proof that they are Magic Balls, it would be better to put the info on List of New Super Mario Bros. Wii pre-release and unused content. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 08:58, 21 May 2017 (EDT)

Prisma Cardware
I saw that you tried contacting Eldritchdraaks (talk) about Prisma Cardware, he hasn't been active since the 3rd of April though, so if he doesn't reply, might I ask you what material would you need for the page? I have found the file with shop listing (well, it's literally the list of cards) as well as the conditions needed for the cards to appear, would it be useful for you?--Mister Wu (talk) 18:30, 31 May 2017 (EDT)
- Yes, that information would be useful. I would probably want to put it in a table similar to what he has, though if you have any suggestions, please tell me. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 18:33, 31 May 2017 (EDT)
- Well, we can put the conditions below the price or below the cards, if we want to convey all relevant information in one table.--Mister Wu (talk) 19:17, 31 May 2017 (EDT)
- I think either would work, though I'm not sure exactly how I want it set up yet, so I may create the article first before creating the table. I would have responded a few minutes earlier, but I was distracted due to the constant vandalism in the past few minutes. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 19:29, 31 May 2017 (EDT)
- Another possibility is, though Eldritchdraaks' table is closer to what's in the game, we could base it off of the table here and add the conditions after the price. The reason I suggest that is because the conditions may not all take up the same amount of space, and, on Eldritchdraaks' table, the way the Cards are set up directly next to each other could make the text look messy, while there is more space on the table I linked to, so it may not look as messy. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 08:29, 1 June 2017 (EDT)
- Well, you can now check the conditions, as I now added the item list as it is found in the game's data on the stats tables. The conditions have GF as initial letters (PNL is used for the battle cards, as you can also see in the case of the enemy stats).--Mister Wu (talk) 16:44, 1 June 2017 (EDT)
- Ok, thanks! I do have a few questions about them though:
- What does it mean for Huge Jump when it says GF_WM_G3_to_G4, or when it says GF_EXT_GetV_PenkiStar for 1-Up.
- I can't seem to find the conditions for Huge Hammer.
- Are the uncolored cards (which I assume are the cards without 100 at the end) unlocked along with the fully colored versions?
- Is PICO_HAMMER the KO Hammer or the Eekhammer? --TheFlameChomp (talk) 17:04, 1 June 2017 (EDT)
- Here are the answers!
- Courses are named with the following convention: initial of the color followed by a number (courses with a boss have a B instead of a number), G3 is the third green course, Green Energy Plant, while G4 is the fourth green course, Mossrock Theater. I still have to reach this point on my playthrough, but GF_WM_G3_to_G4 might mean reveal on the World Map the path connecting Green Energy Plant to Mossrock Theater. PenkiStar means Paint Star, V is violet, so GF_EXT_GetV_PenkiStar means Get the Violet Paint Star, in this case the Violet Big Paint Star.
- The conditions of the Huge Hammer aren't there, they should be the same as those for the Huge Jump; since this is game's data, repetition is sometimes avoided.
- Yes, they are both unlocked at the same time, even though the condition is put only for the uncolored cards when available (again, this is data used by the game, so repetition is avoided and the same condition is listed only once).
- PICO_HAMMER is the Eekhammer, looks like this is the Japanese name used for these kinds of toy hammers.
- Unfortunately, I cannot answer all questions with the needed precision and certainty, but I hope the answers will be at least a bit useful.--Mister Wu (talk) 17:44, 1 June 2017 (EDT)
- Thanks! I also assume that the Jump and Hammer cards have no conditions due to them getting unlocked as soon as the shop opens. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 17:50, 1 June 2017 (EDT)
- Ok, thanks! I do have a few questions about them though:
- Well, you can now check the conditions, as I now added the item list as it is found in the game's data on the stats tables. The conditions have GF as initial letters (PNL is used for the battle cards, as you can also see in the case of the enemy stats).--Mister Wu (talk) 16:44, 1 June 2017 (EDT)

Edit Warring
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (edit warring) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site. If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Repeatedly undoing an edit, even if it's to converse with the other guy, is considered edit warring. Before going any further with the Warp Cannon page, please talk to Skuchi037 (talk) to decide the correct course of action. I realize you've already started talking to him by the time I've typed out this message, but policy says I have to say something anyway. Sorry.
On that note, since I made the first edit that caused this, I'll throw in what I think and say the Warp Cannon does differ between games:
NSMB
1 & 2 -> 5, 3 -> 6, 4 -> 7, 5 -> 8
NSMBWii
1 & 2 -> 5, 3 & 4 -> 6, 6 -> 8
NSMB2
1 -> Mushroom (which is 7), 3 & Mushroom -> Flower (8), Flower -> 6 (strangely going backwards)
- Yes, sorry about that. I will try not to do it again. I realized that I had made a mistake after I made the second edit, and that's why I let someone else (you) revert the edit afterwards, and was going to talk to him even before you reverted it, though I was prepared to receive this warning and think that it is deserved. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 19:52, 23 June 2017 (EDT)
- I saw your message here, I just didn't know what to say :P
- I'm glad you know where your fault was, and that you're taking responsibility for your actions. Sure, the warning templates look a little intimidating, but they're meant to stick it in your head that something went wrong. Just to reiterate, an edit war is when you make an edit, someone undoes it, and then you revert it back. You're a good user, but be careful, alright? 22:32, 23 June 2017 (EDT)
Warp Cannon
Hey, man, sorry if I rubbed you the wrong way. I thought World Mushroom was World 3 and World Flower was World 6, and I thought the cannon order was consistent throughout NSMB, Wii, and 2. After all, it said on the World Mushroom (New Super Mario Bros. 2) page that it was an alternative world to World 2, and so, I mistakenly thought it was truly World 3. Mistake on my part. (talk) 20:24, 23 June 2017 (CDT)
- Don't worry, I'm sorry about edit warring. I am usually much more careful at avoiding edit wars, so it is also a mistake on my part.--TheFlameChomp (talk) 21:28, 23 June 2017 (EDT)

Your name is confusing!
Hold the phone for a second. Why did you name yourself after the Flame Chomp if your favorite character is Toadette? Just curious, is all. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 21:49, 24 June 2017 (CDT)
- Actually, I'm not really sure. I actually never thought about naming myself after Toadette. I almost named myself after Petey Piranha, my second favorite character, but then decided to name myself after Flame Chomps, even though I never really thought about them too much until then. I don't really remember why I decided against Petey. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 22:58, 24 June 2017 (EDT)

Disliking Sticker Star
DAMN! I broke out laughing when you said you disliked Paper Mario: Sticker Star! I know so many people do, but the way you expressed your feelings was very funny and creative. Keep it up! Lcrossmk8 (talk) 16:18, 25 June 2017 (CDT)
- I actually did used to like the game, but it was at a point when I didn't know much about Mario and didn't really know much about the other Paper Mario games (the only thing I knew about was the title Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door), so I had no idea that Sticker Star was awful compared to them (I even used to defend it when people said bad things about it). When I learned, however, I began to not like Sticker Star as much, and Kersti quickly became my least favorite Paper Mario ally. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 19:03, 25 June 2017 (EDT)
Magic Potion
In the episode Princess, I Shrunk the Mario Brothers, Toad used a Magic Potion to reverse the effect of the gaz that shrunk Mario and Luigi. Was it actually the Potion that makes a door to Subspace? Because it looked like exactly the same, but used differently, so if it is, i could add it on the page... If it doesn't, i will not add it on Magic Potion. --86.193.239.162 03:24, 27 June 2017 (EDT) Ps:If you will be here until Friday, will you come back Monday, or not?
- Actually, I believe that the potion Toad uses has it's own page, Growing Potion. I will not be here next week at all, as I am going on vacation. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 07:12, 27 June 2017 (EDT)

Luigi's Mansion Reply
WHAT? What do you mean those race-courses are Luigi's Mansion? You need to explain a little more. 22:45, 12 July 2017 (CDT)
- I said that because they greatly resemble Luigi's Mansion (compare these images), and the fact that it is mentioned on the page. You should probably create a discussion on Talk:Luigi's Mansion (place) if you don't agree with me, just to see what others say. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 23:53, 12 July 2017 (EDT)
RE: 'Shroom Spotlight question
Ability-wise, I'd say nothing. But I feel "can be found throughout levels" could be expanded upon, rather than being left as a blanket statement. Looking at it again, it's entirely feasible that the article was been misidentified as a stub due to its size, or it was left over when we thought it had something to do with Mario vs. Donkey Kong. Hey, just wanted to let you know that the link to your forum profile is incorrectly going to the profile of whoever clicks it (for example, clicking it led to my profile). List by date
I've noticed that you've been editing links to List of games by date (keep up the good work!), but I have a question: Tweeter Bat links to the page despite being exclusively in a cartoon and the page being exclusively for games. I suspect that there are a few other articles that also do this. Even if they're not from games, should they still link to it? Hello, I'm Time Turner. 22:25, 4 August 2017 (EDT)
- I'm not actually sure, so I've brought it up with some of the other admins. I was doing it because I'm not sure if there is a better place to link them, though it is also possible that we could remove the link completely on those articles. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 07:14, 5 August 2017 (EDT)
CheckUser request
Hi, I noticed that some users who were recently blocked perform the same kind of vandalism (typing the same character in a row), so could you please perform checkuser on Cool234 (talk), Peaceguy (talk), and Coolguy7878 (talk), and if the check is positive, block all IP addresses that they have used? Thanks! (T|C) 15:33, 16 August 2017 (EDT)
- Oops, didn't see your comment here. (T|C) 15:35, 16 August 2017 (EDT)
- I also have checked the other two, and they have different IPs (though, due to them making very similar edits on the same page, it is very possible that it is the same person, just using a different IP). --TheFlameChomp (talk) 15:52, 16 August 2017 (EDT)
IMPORTANT
I have a important message for you on my talk page! -Piggypassking
- I am currently speaking to the admins about the warning. Also, please don't speak to users, especially admins, like that. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 16:40, 18 August 2017 (EDT)
hi
I got a temporary ban for creating a sock puppet account but that was never me. That was my sister. We share the same computer so please unblock her and replace it with a warning and remove the warning you gave me on my account -Piggypassking and Coolguy7878
- I'm sorry, but I'm not going to unban the other account, as they immediately vandalized a page upon creation, which warrants an infinte block. I also feel it is best to leave the warning, to make sure this doesn't happen again. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 21:17, 18 August 2017 (EDT)
Vandal block
GOT HIM! That was SWEET right there! Nice job blocking him.
Oh, and by the way, I know I do this all the time, but I can't help but love it when vandals get caught in the blink of an eye just like that. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 17:27, 21 August 2017 (EDT)
- No problem. However, it is better that you just revert their edits instead of talking to them in edit summaries. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 17:29, 21 August 2017 (EDT)
Oh, by the way, this music is super awesome. I've got the link right here:

- Yes, it is. I do enjoy listening to video game music. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 17:35, 21 August 2017 (EDT)
RE:DK Jungle
Yeah, you're right, I didn't think of Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast. I'll move it back. (T|C) 08:08, 22 August 2017 (EDT)
Links to List of items
Is it necessary to have every mention of "item" link to List of items? Personally, I've been removing them whenever I see them, since the link takes readers to a list that's tangentially relevant to the original subject and barely even discusses what an item is. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 13:21, 22 August 2017 (EDT)
- That does make a lot more sense, actually. I'll remove the links instead. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 13:24, 22 August 2017 (EDT)
"Spaside" Kingdom
I think posting this might be a good idea for some further discussion on this. It does kind of look like "Spaside", but then there's the second Gamescom video, where the letter looks slightly clearer and closer to one of the other letter "E"s on the map. I'm honestly not sure now. :/ Mario JC 21:27, 23 August 2017 (EDT)
- Yeah, I'll add it back. I removed it because in the close up image, it appeared to resemble a P more than an E, though "seaside" makes a lot more sense than "spaside", which isn't even a word. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 22:01, 23 August 2017 (EDT)
Coins
Since Alex appeared to have some confusion, I hope you don't mind that I want to be sure: do you understand what the coin proposal is aiming to accomplish? Hello, I'm Time Turner. 00:27, 27 August 2017 (EDT)
- Yes. Though I'm going to keep my vote on the "do nothing" section, as from what I've seen, it's inconsistent within the Mario franchise as well. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 07:45, 27 August 2017 (EDT)
confused
why did you block me again? I'm not logged in because apparently you blocked me again! May you explain why please? -Piggypassking
- Pardon me for asking, but is it really fair to block someone for evading a ban when all they've done is ask why they were banned? They made no attempts to hide their identity, and their only edit was a direct question. Especially if they didn't know the rules behind editing with an IP, doubling their block time seems rather harsh. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 18:32, 27 August 2017 (EDT)
- Yeah, I agree. I think this goes against always assuming good faith, especially when this kid has proven to be a pretty good editor and a harmless one at it. But hey, it's your choice, brother. You want it that way, I won't attempt to stop you at all. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 18:39, 27 August 2017 (EDT)
- From MarioWiki:Blocking policy#Blocking IP addresses: "Admins should avoid blocking IP addresses except when dealing with anonymous vandals, persistent sockpuppeters and users who are ban-evading by editing anonymously." The IP block is justified. Also, from the sockpuppeting section: "the block length will be doubled and added on to whatever time has already been served." I realize it could come off as harsh, but it's a user evading their ban through-and-through. Them's the breaks. 18:50, 27 August 2017 (EDT)
- But this wasn't a sockpuppet, and there's nothing in the section that talks about how editing via an IP is the same as making a new account. The user didn't create a new account with the intent of hiding their original identity. To me, it really seems like good faith wasn't assumed and a user who didn't know the rules was unduly punished. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 18:56, 27 August 2017 (EDT)
- Talking to Glowsquid, he said to reduce the ban. 19:10, 27 August 2017 (EDT)
- Very, very sorry. I admit that I overreacted when I saw him editing, and I definitely should not have lengthened the ban. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 19:48, 27 August 2017 (EDT)

Hey, it's all fine, my boy! You're a patroller for a reason, and you deserve to be. You don't need to be sorry for anything. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 20:07, 27 August 2017 (EDT)
Font Styles
Hello, I have a question! I've joined the wiki since a few days, and now I want to create a signature, I already know the code and the steps, but I want a really COOL text style, but I don't know the font styles allowed in the wiki so, which are the styles of text supported? I hope you answer quickly! LED42 (talk) 15:32, 28 August 2017 (EDT)
- I'm pretty sure any text style is allowed, as long as it is readable. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 15:37, 28 August 2017 (EDT)
Images in signature
Hello again... Can you give me an example of a code of signature using an image? Or just how it is? Thank you. LED42™ (talk – edits) 19:08, 28 August 2017 (EDT)
- Hello! Here, I'll show you the code of my signature as an example:
<span style="font-family:serif;color:#FF8000">TheFlameChomp</span> (<span style="font-family:serif;color:#FF8000">talk</span>)
. The reason your image is showing up on the left side of the page is because the "left" part of the code is messing it up. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 19:14, 28 August 2017 (EDT)
Thank you!
Thank you! :P LED42™ (talk – edits) 19:26, 28 August 2017 (EDT)
