- “Once stepping through the doors of the United Nations, a visitor officially leaves the United States and is on neutral territory. Located on the banks of the East River, the UN Complex was built in 1946 on land donated by the financier, John D. Rockefeller. The UN houses an international committee dedicated to world peace. Meetings are simulataneously interpreted into many languages. The plaza contains the flags of the 159 present members, arranged in English alphabetical order.”

The United Nations Plaza appears in PC versions of Mario is Missing! as a visitable location. It is the headquarters of the United Nations, located in New York City. The United Nations Plaza was forced to close when a Koopa Troopa stole the U.S. Flag. It is reopened by the curator when Luigi returns the item.
