The Chimp's Coin Challenge is the hidden second mission of the Slimy Spring Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2. This mission will become accessible when the player receives a letter from The Chimp through the Mailtoad, which will be after the player completes Bowser's Big Bad Speed Run in Bowser's Galaxy Generator.
Layout[edit]
Players need to wait until they receive a letter from the Chimp telling them to come to the Slimy Spring Galaxy. The Chimp will then challenge the player to his final challenge. The player will need to score 10,000 points by defeating enemies and collecting coins in a time span of 180 seconds, similar to The Chimp's Stomp Challenge and The Chimp's Score Challenge. The scoring system is almost identical to those challenges, with Star Bits worth 10 points, Coins worth 100 points, and 1-Up Mushrooms worth 1,000 points. Defeating most enemies earns the player 100 points, but Urchins and Gringills are worth 300 points when defeated.
It is basically the same layout as the first mission, except that there are more Snoodles in the first planet, there are more coins and the walls of the second planet are absent.
