Technique
Techniques are abilities that character can perform in the Mario + Rabbids series. They have various effects and have cooldowns after use. In Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, all of the heroes have two, while in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope they each have one.
Below is a list of Techniques and what they do.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle[edit]
Techniques become available for heroes upon starting the level Welcome to the Jungle. The Garden variants of enemies do not use Techniques.
Reaction attacks[edit]
- Main article: Hero Sight
Reaction attacks are Techniques that attack enemies that move within a character's range, as well as inflicting them with various Super Effects depending on the user's weapon. The heroes' reaction attacks can all be upgraded to increase the damage dealt.

- Mario: Hero Sight; can be upgraded to use up to two times in one turn.
- Luigi: Steely Stare; can be upgraded to use up to three times in one turn.
- Princess Peach: Royal Gaze
- Yoshi: Egg Beater
- Donkey Kong: Hairy Eye
- Rabbid Cranky: Stink Eye; can be upgraded to use up to two times in one turn.
- Enemies
- Ziggies / Blizzy / Bwario / MegaDragonBowser: Villain Sight; MegaDragonBowser only uses it in the first phase.
- Icicle Golem: Whiteout; usable only in the second and third phases.
- Phantom: Stone Deaf; does not cause damage but does inflict the Stone Super Effect.
Shields[edit]
Shields are used to reduce damage taken from enemies. There are various types of shields that are suited for different situations. The heroes' shields can be upgraded to reduce damage to the user.
- Heroes
- Rabbid Peach: Shield; specializes in reducing weapon damage.
- Rabbid Luigi: Super Barrier; blocks Super Effects.
- Rabbid Mario: Bodyguard; specializes in reducing movement damage.
- Rabbid Yoshi: Outer Shell; reduces damage for one hit, can be upgraded to block damage entirely for up to two hits.
- Enemies
- Hoppers / Sandy: Blocks damage entirely for one hit.
- MegaDragonBowser: Usable only in the third phase, blocks damage completely and can only be removed if MegaDragonBowser rams into a steel block.
- Mega Rabbid Kong: Usable in the second phase in his second battle, blocks damage entirely for the rest of the battle.
Attack power increase[edit]
A Technique that increases the attack power of the user, as well as any allies in range.

- Smashers: NME Empowerment; not used by Tropical Smashers.
Heal[edit]

A Technique that heals the user as well as any allies in range.

Weaken[edit]

A Technique that reduces the weapon damage of enemies within range.

Itchy Feet[edit]
A Technique that increases the movement range of the user as well as any nearby allies.
Used only by Luigi.
Magnet Dance[edit]
A Technique that draws out enemies within range close to the user.

- Donkey Kong: Magnet Groove; can be upgraded to always attract enemies right next to Donkey Kong's position.

Protection[edit]
A Technique that grants protects nearby allies, reducing the damage they receive and cause the user to take the damage for them.

Repel[edit]
A Technique that repels enemies away from the user.

Super Chance[edit]
A Technique that guarantees the chance of Super Effects occurring from attacks for the user and nearby allies.

- Bucklers; not used by Tropical Bucklers.
Long Story[edit]
A Technique that puts nearby enemies to sleep for one turn, preventing them from doing anything until the effect wears off, or if they are attacked while sleeping.
Used only by Rabbid Cranky.
Summon[edit]
A Technique that summons an additional ally to the battlefield, although it takes two turns.
Used only by Summoners.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope[edit]
- Reaction attacks

A Technique that allows the user to attack enemies within range, as well as applying Super Effects to them.
Used by Mario, Luigi, Lone Wolves and Phantom.
- Heal

A Technique that heals the user as well as any allies in range.
Used by Rabbid Peach and Medicians.
- Exhaust
- Main article: Exhaust
A Technique that reduces the damage dealt by enemies within range.
Used by Rabbid Luigi and Midnite.
- Counter Blow
- Main article: Counter Blow
A Technique that allows the user to strike back at attacking enemies.
Used by Rabbid Mario and Depleters. Bravados have Counter Blow as a passive ability rather than a Technique.
- Team Barrier
- Main article: Team Barrier
A Technique that provide shields to the user and allies in range. Each charge nullifies characters from one attack each.
Used by Princess Peach and Medicians.
- Stormblade
- Main article: Stormblade
A Technique that is a different version of a reaction attack. The user will strike at all enemies within range when an enemy within range moves.
Used by Edge and Darkmess Edge.
- Ennui
- Main article: Ennui
A Technique that puts enemies within range to sleep, preventing them from performing any actions until the effect wears off, or if they are attacked while sleeping.
Used only by Rabbid Rosalina.
- Summoning allies
- Main article: Rabbid Mechakoopas
A Technique that can summon additional allies to the battlefield.
Bowser summons Rabbid Mechakoopas, Darkmess Bowser summons Darkmess Rabbid Mechakoopas, and Spellraisers summon Stooges.
- Plunger Guard
- Main article: Plunger Guard
A Technique that summons Plunger Guards that attack enemies that move within their range. The effects of the attacks depend on what type the Guards are.
Used only by Rayman.
