Super Mario Bros. is a playable board in Itadaki Street DS and Fortune Street. It is based on the game of the same name.

History[edit]

Itadaki Street DS[edit]

In Itadaki Street DS, the board is in the shape of a capital M with diagonal sections that allow players to loop through the board quicker and change the direction they travel. Each area is labeled as a world from 1 to 9 and contains four shops each, referencing the level structure of Super Mario Bros. In Tour mode, the player needs place first against Mario, Waluigi, and Jessica. Beating the board in Tour mode unlocks Jessica as a possible opponent, unlocks the board for Free Play mode, and unlocks the Piranha Plant hat and Pipe suit cosmetics for the player.

Fortune Street[edit]

In Fortune Street, the board in standard rules is identical to its Itadaki Street DS counterpart. In easy rules, the board lacks the diagonal sections. In their place are two backstreet squares placed at the bottom of the board. Unlike Itadaki Street DS, the background loops between World 1-1 and World 1-2 from Super Mario Bros. with addition enemies present. The green Koopa Troopas in the background act more like red Koopa Troopas and turn around at edges. Landing on an arcade square and playing a minigame causes the background to restart at the beginning of World 1-1. In Tour mode, the player needs to get at least second against Bianca, Mario, and Waluigi.
