Purdue updates electronic device policy to ensure data security

In recent years, Purdue IT has diligently pursued systems and processes to ensure compliance with the regulations and requirements of our grantors. We have implemented Jamf Pro for Apple devices and MECM for Windows, and we are currently developing systems for our Linux/Unix environments. Additionally, we are revising the university’s electronic device policy.

On November 4, SAP GUI with Secure Login Client will be required to access Employee Central Payroll. Users who do not have SAP GUI with Secure Login Client installed should please ensure that the SAP GUI with Secure Login Client software packages is installed as soon as possible.

On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Purdue IT held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its newest offices in the Convergence Center for Innovation and Collaboration (CONV). Located in the heart of the district at the western edge of Purdue University, CONV is where private industry will collaborate with Purdue faculty, students and one another.

New IT Service Desk location coming to HSSE for fall 2024

Purdue IT is adding a third walk-up IT Service Desk location in the HSSE Library. Along with the HIKS and WALC Purdue IT Service Desk locations, the HSSE Service Desk will provide on-site support related to Wi-Fi set up, account issues, multi-factor authentication, Duo physical tokens, printing questions, and other services.

Purdue earns certification in three areas from International Standards Organization (ISO)

Purdue University earned the following ISO certifications, effective May 24, 2024: ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 27001 (Information Security Management System) and ISO/IEC 20000-1 (Service Management System). ISO certification is a credential that shows a product, process, service, or system meets specific quality, safety or efficiency standards defined by the International Standards Organization, a non-governmental organization that sets specifications for various industries.
