  1. Hi, Laura.

I can’t figure out what’s going on with American conservatives who are confused on this issue. Ukraine to them is like Israel is to the left; despised and demonized when they are the victims fighting for their lives.

    I agree.

  2. Donaldo,

To Michael’s comments implying NATO is coming to Zelinski’s aid.

In what fantasyland did I say that?? Please re-read what I said, and where, then get back to me.

  3. From the Alternative Universe about Ukraine:

For the most part, the Ukrainians, including Zelensky, agree with this assessment of the military situation in Ukraine, which they admit as “dire.” But he also declares that Ukraine supports Donald Trump’s efforts to find a diplomatic solution to the war, such as a negotiated peace treaty. He also told the Ukrainian people that Trump has promised his supporters that he is committed to a diplomatic solution to the war, and Ukrainians need to accept this fact.

However, he also makes a desperate appeal for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. He says that the Ukrainian people are suffering severely already from Russia’s intense bombardment of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, and predicts that this suffering and death of civilians will increase greatly with the onset of winter.Ukraine winters are very severe, he points out. Not much evidence of global warming during Ukrainian winters.

  4. Good! Zelensky isn’t the bad guy, putin is. I can’t figure out what’s going on with American conservatives who are confused on this issue. Ukraine to them is like Israel is to the left; despised and demonized when they are the victims fighting for their lives. I have to think it’s all about domestic political alliances, whereas people are simply taking the opposing position of the other side. Supporting Russia against Ukraine or the Iran/hamas/hezbollah axis against Israel is insane. No one is using critical thinking skills, but rather knee-jerk reactions based on being contrary to the other political party. It’s staggering that commenters on Israpundit are supporting Russia, the ally of Iran and hamas.

  5. To Michael’s comments implying NATO is coming to Zelinski’s aid.

Fat chance. NATO turned woke a couple of years ago and is more concerned with DEI than fighting Russia.

Can you imagine an elite batallion of RuPauls fighting for Ukraine’s freedom? Russia would love to mow them down.

  6. Zelinski must have needed a diaper change when Trump won.

Too bad. Now he can go back to being a dwarfish comedian. And Biden can start to sweat about the real story of his blackmail/bribe scheme involving Burisma. Oh, and his own special classified docs scandal involving the Chinese. Never too old to spent the rest of his scummin scammin life in solitaire in Leavenworth. Maybe hard labour til the day he dies.

What You Need to Know: Russia’s military is employing World War One-style tactics, involving relentless human wave attacks and heavy artillery, to make incremental gains in eastern Ukraine, notably around urban centers like Vuhledar.

-Despite tactical advances, this costly approach yields near-record Russian casualties, with nearly 2,000 troops lost in the past 24 hours, plus extensive losses in vehicles, tanks, and artillery.

-Analysts warn that while these tactics may produce short-term gains against Ukrainian forces, they are unsustainable in a prolonged conflict and would be ineffective against NATO’s modernized capabilities.
