Course Syllabus

Abstract

The seminar is devoted to the preparation for the defense of graduate qualification works of Master's students. During the seminar, each of the students will present preliminary results of their work and receive feedback from faculty members of the School of Finance. This will both improve the results and improve the presentation skills of the student.

  • Apply up-to-date research techniques in economics and finance
  • A student compares research design
  • Know the formal structure of research work;
  •  develop the skills of oral and written speech at the level of reception and production;  provide the ability to work simultaneously with different types and types of texts of a social and professional orientation;  vary the complexity of the course, offering the necessary amount of independent search and research work, taking into account the real learning situation.

  • Student’s skills will be developed while presenting their research (using conference format for class presentations).

  • Students will be able to understand the functioning of academic research, writing, editing, and international publishing
  • Distinguish between qualitative and quantitative research methods;
  • • Ability: to use statistical data, analytical national and industry reviews, research publications, and the latest business news to analyze the current conditions of starting and expanding a foreign business and make strategic decisions regarding the ways of establishing a new business with foreign participation.
