During 5-9 August 2024, Eötvös Loránd University and KU Leuven will co-organize a conference in Budapest, in the framework of the CELSA alliance. The conference is also supported by the University Excellence Fund of Eötvös Loránd University, as well as by the European Research Council under the grant ISOCRYPT 01020788.
The aim of the conference is to help narrow the gap between computational mathematicians and mathematical cryptographers, driven by the many new hardness assumptions that are emerging in the context of post-quantum cryptography.
The conference will be organized along the four main mathematical themes in post-quantum cryptography: lattices, error-correcting codes, systems of non-linear equations, and isogenies. On each theme we will schedule:
- an overview talk surveying the field,
- two or three tutorials on neighbouring mathematical topics,
- two or three fresh research talks.
All attendees will have the option of presenting a poster.
Venue
Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Informatics, Budapest (map).
It is most convenient to take the west entrance (although any of the entrances should eventually lead you to the right place).
Some lunch options near the venue can be found here.

Registration
Registration is now open. We ask 100 EUR for master and PhD students, and 150 EUR for more senior participants.
Registration is closed.
For students, we have a limited number of stipends available. If you are in need of such a stipend, please let us know at math.pqc@gmail.com by 31 May 2024.
We no longer have stipends available. However, if you are interested in sharing an Airbnb with other participants, in order to suppress costs for lodging, then please let us know at math.pqc@gmail.com. We can then bring you in contact with each other.
Overall registration deadline: 23 June 2024.
