The CCME at Peking University invites applications for faculty positions across all broadly defined areas of chemistry, including organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, materials chemistry, chemical biology, theoretical chemistry, and analytical chemistry. We invite outstanding international scholars to join a vibrant, globally recognised research community. Ranked 14th in the world in chemistry by the 2024 QS World University Rankings, CCME is known for its cutting-edge research, innovative educational approaches, and commitment to academic excellence. This search is open all year for applications.


Ideal candidates will hold a Ph.D. and demonstrate an exceptional track record in research, an innovative future research plan, and a commitment to teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Successful applicants will be expected to establish a strong research and publication record, teach courses in both graduate and undergraduate programs, and actively engage in university service and community outreach. Our College values a welcoming, inclusive environment and encourages applications from candidates of all backgrounds.


Multiple positions are open at all ranks:

Assistant Professor or Associate Professor or Professor

-The applicant should have a doctorate degree and demonstrate a strong academic track-record.

-For senior appointments, the applicant should have notable academic achievements and hold tenured (Associate) Professorship or equivalent positions in world-leading universities, research institutes or industry.


Salary, Benefits and Start-up package

Each faculty member will receive an internationally competitive salary and benefits package. Details will be negotiated with the Dean upon completion of interviews.
