This is Apocrypha

The content of this page is considered to be apocrypha or pseudocanon. Fiction that is considered pseudocanon generally falls into one of two categories. It is most likely either unofficial fiction from an official creator that is so informative as to the creator's thought process and/or so influential to the fandom as to be worth documenting, or fiction that is published in such a way as to render it unofficial, such as fan works published as ancillary or bonus images/fiction with other official work. As such, new ideas and concepts introduced here may not hold true for work that is completely canonical.

Synopsis

Caught in an unexpected anomaly from the Dimensional Interface Assembly being used to locate the missing Optimus Prime, Flash finds himself teleported to the wastes of Quintessa, where he is set upon by ravenous packs of Sharkticons and Allicons. While he takes refuge in a threatening-looking castle that the creatures seem unwilling or afraid to enter, back on Cybertron, Perceptor analyzes the assembly for any clue as to what happened. The machine, it transpires, is still in "search" mode, and could not have transported Flash away on its own, so Perceptor concludes that this is the work of outside influence—specifically, a "kink" in space/time left after parties unknown meddled with the space bridge test that caused the disappearance of Prime and Megatron those many millennia ago! Much to the consternation of the other Turbomasters, Perceptor is forced to leave Flash to fend for himself, as a much more important task presents itself: Nightbeat and Getaway return with the body of one of Megatron's Aerospace Extermination Squadron clones for Perceptor to study. His dissection soon yields a surprising revelation: the clones are all somehow being powered by cyberstatic energy, the energy that runs through Transformers' bodies.

Meanwhile, deep beneath Cybertron's surface, a contingent of Autobots led by Blaster is following an ancient map through the tunnels, making their way to the planetary core, where the Decepticons are forcing their captives to mine. Blaster dispatches his cassettes to gather intelligence on the Decepticons' operation, while he and the Triggerbots target the signal generator powering the inhibitor claws keeping the Autobot prisoners subdued.

At the Decepticon High Command Aerie in Praxus, Shockwave unveils the fruits of his labors to Megatron: he has been able to mutate two clones so that they will only obey Megatron, and no other. Megatron leaves him to begin mass production, relocating to a private chamber for a conference with his secret benefactors, the creators of the clones whose control over them he has had Shockwave break... the Quintessons! Communicating with Megatron from Quintessa via hologram, the three five-faced judges reveal that they desire the planetary core of Cybertron itself, and fear that Megatron is attempting to renege on their deal, given his falling behind schedule. Megatron assures them that all is proceeding according to plan, but the aliens shock him with the fact that they have detected the life-signs of Blaster's team encroaching on the mining area. Glowering, Megatron vows to deal with it himself and severs the link. The Quintessons carry on talking amongst themselves, discussing the viability of Megatron as their pawn and the power they will obtain from Cybertron's core... entirely unaware that, outside a nearby window, Flash has eavesdropped on the whole thing!

At the heart of Cybertron, the captive Ultra Magnus and Springer discuss aggressive options, but are forced to conclude that there is little they can do beyond devising a way to destroy the core and perhaps Cybertron itself, rather than let Megatron complete his plan. Just then, Blaster and the Triggerbots arrive in the mine, looking out over it from an overhead tunnel, and are just about to make their move when Megatron himself appears in the tunnel behind them, and blasts them all out through its mouth into the excavation site below. Instructing the Aerospace Extermination clones to keep back, Megatron deals with each of the Autobots personally, taking out the Triggerbots one after the other, and then turning the last of his fury on Blaster...

Back at the command aerie, Shockwave is completing preparation for mass production, when he is suddenly struck from behind. Bludgeoned and blasted, he collapses at the feet of his attacker: one of the mutated clones, its body now warped and twisted into a monstrous, yet strangely familiar form. And from its misshapen mouth, it growls...

"ME... GRIMLOCK."
