Talk:Clampdown (G1)
From Transformers Wiki
Hm. Despite my previous calling for the removal of several categories, Clamp Down makes me wonder about a potential Category to add... "Emergency vehicles". Police, fire, medical rescue... Idle thought. --M Sipher 00:37, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- Eh, I'd be against the idea, unless we're doing like categories for other kinds of vehicles, like Trucks or Jets. --ItsWalky 01:03, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- It's not an idea I was particularly enamored with. --M Sipher 01:08, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- I do, however, want more "Function" subgroups. I love those things. Have we reconsidered an "Engineer" one yet? The only trouble is that it kinda intersects with half the "scientists." Most TF fiction seems to consider them one-and-the-same, probably due to a poor understanding of the distinction. For example, Wheeljack's a "mad scientist," but he's really an engineer. There's a lot of overlap. (Rehashing old talking points for the #wiigii!-impaired amongst us.) --ItsWalky 01:16, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- Which also interescts with "Medics", really. I'm wary of a "function" category THAT specific. --M Sipher 01:35, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
- 'Engineers' would include the building-type guys (Grapple, Scrapper, etc), which would be useful, I think. - RolonBolon 01:43, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
Spelling
Is there an official English source for "Clamp Down"? The Masterpiece packaging renders it as "Clampdown". Saix (talk) 19:22, 8 August 2017 (EDT)
- The e-HOBBY Magazine website spells it as "Clamp Down", but at the same time, Deep Cover's name is spelled as "Deepcover", so I'm not sure how seriously we can take that. --Sabrblade (talk) 22:43, 8 August 2017 (EDT)
