Moved discussion from "Talk: Cybaxx"

That Notes section is a bit much. Feels like it's edging into what Sipher mentioned as "useless, unreadable dry-as-dirt pagebloat" on Allspark. Item42 (talk) 21:34, 15 August 2016 (EDT)

Should we merge this page with Boltax, what with the reveal in the latest text story has him and Cybaxx being the same person?--Projectus (talk) 04:00, 6 October 2016 (EDT)
Wait, seriously? Why would.... Ugh. Yes, I'd say merge then, I guess. --KilMichaelMcC (talk) 08:18, 6 October 2016 (EDT)
The sheer vigour with which it persues an attempt to merge the pages makes me want to keep them seperate out of spite, but I guess it was inevitable. Sky Shadow (talk) 08:18, 10 October 2016 (EDT)
I think we should treat it like IDW Sovereign and Infinitus, have the fiction header on this page followed by a See Main Article link to Boltax's page, which would have the story information. Omegatron (talk) 06:30, 12 October 2016 (EDT)
Sovereign and Infinitus at least had bio information that contradicted them being the established characters Blackrock and Sentinel. Cybaxx had nothing except the toy - not even a bio - and the paragraph-or-so in Lively Pursuit is built around the toy. --Riptide (talk) 07:42, 12 October 2016 (EDT)
True, but he may still get his own fiction, which probably won't make him a version of Boltax. I think it's plainly obvious that he wasn't originally intended to be Boltax, this is more like a repurposing that also reuses the same name. Omegatron (talk) 17:54, 13 October 2016 (EDT)
Really? I got the exact opposite impression. I had the sense that the story was trying to canonize Hasbro's own working ideas. --Jimsorenson (talk) 18:31, 13 October 2016 (EDT)
As much as it mildly annoys me, there is absolutely no fictional information on who this guy is other than the Fun Publications bit about how he's Boltax. John Warden's thing about him being Scrounge's "special arm," despite being my personal favorite interpretation, would be principally canonical only in the absence of anything else at all, and even then it feels more like author intent delivered through an interview and little more. Pretending he's not Boltax seems more spiteful than intellectually honest. --ItsWalky (talk) 19:22, 13 October 2016 (EDT)
