Pseudo

Pseudo is a Decepticon from the Robots in Disguise portion of the Aligned continuity family.

It goes without saying that the Decepticon super-spy Pseudo is more than meets the eye, even more so than a typical Cybertronian. As a Shifter, he employed his talents in order to infiltrate Cybertron's most secure installations in order to plunder their secrets, whereupon he then sold them to the highest bidder. A wily, insidious sort, Pseudo never hesitates to use his abilities to sow confusion among any would-be captors. After all, the one secret Pseudo will never part with is his own.

Pseudo was imprisoned on the Alchemor for selling secrets to Cybertron's off world enemies. After the ship's crash, he was freed from his stasis pod, whereupon he discovered the ghost town of Edmondville, which had long since been deserted. It would have made the perfect base for the spy to hole up in, if not for the presence of the Autobots who had arrived on a would-be vacation. Before Pseudo could quietly eliminate Bumblebee, however, the Autobot sensed his presence and he was forced to retreat.

The Autobots quickly began combing the town for the Decepticon, prompting Pseudo to use his shapeshifting powers to try and incapacitate them. When this proved fruitless, he scanned the forms of Bumblebee's team and first took the form of Drift in order to sow confusion. Unfortunately, Pseudo was unable to mimic Drift's Mini-Con partners, forcing him to flee into a nearby mine. There, he took the form of Strongarm, Bumblebee, and Sideswipe, only to finally be cornered in the form of Grimlock; however, he escaped in the form of Sideswipe by taking advantage of the Autobot's natural agility. Fleeing the mine, he attempted to escape by taking the form of the town's derelict steam engine, but he was stopped when Slipstream and Jetstorm destroyed the tracks he was running on. Pseudo crashed, whereupon he reverted to his true form and was immediately arrested. Ghosts and Impostors
