Beast Wars: Uprising

Psycho-Orb was the Predacon assistant to the Builder administrator of Protihex. During the Grand Uprising, Psycho-Orb pulled off a genius coup by locking his supervisor Icepick out of his own computer network, allowing the Resistance to capture Protihex intact. Safe Spaces

This assured his quick rise in the Resistance hierarchy, and he became one of their top generals serving with High Command by V-Day. While Cybershark advised on the war front efforts and advance into Builder territory, Psycho-Orb focused on consolidating existing Resistance territory, maintaining their hold, and moderating supplies and production of needed materials. He also worked on relations with the independent warlords who seized ground for themselves. Shokaract of Hyperious proved somewhat easier to negotiate with than Queen Rage...of Rageland. The most curious of his reports was the loss of communications with Carpessa and later Damaxus. By the time his scouts failed to report back in, the Resistance learned from other sources just how dire that comms blackout really was.

The rise of the Vehicons was a game-changer. Psycho-Orb's homeland of Protihex was obliterated by Resistance K-Class bombs along with Damaxus and Carpessa, desperately trying to contain the drones before their infection spread to assimilate more proto-formers. The action failed. A large number of Vehicons survived Protihex. The Resistance dispatched their forces from the Tri-Torus region to oppose Vehicon advance. They failed. Polyhex, Petrohex, and Dodecahex were consumed, raising the probably number of converted Vehicons to 350,000, well above the number of active Resistance soldiers. The Resistance was left with no choice but to abandon caution and push immediately into Iacon itself, hoping that seizing the capital and the Builder Assembly would allow them to call off the Vehicons.

In order to press onwards to Iacon, the Yuss Naval Batteries could not be firing on the Resistance Navy when they traversed the Great Rust Sea. And so, the Resistance fought to seize the seven fortresses guarding the batteries, and the batteries themselves. Psycho-Orb led the successful siege on Fort Wenx. The Maxilla was conquered and the batteries seized, but at great cost. No longer having the necessary naval ships to transport the army up the Sea, the Resistance had to proceed largely on foot to Iacon. They began to double-time it once they realized Hot Rod, commander of the Micromaster 001st in Iacon, was refusing to engage in open warfare in the streets and risk civilians. The enemy's general had, effectively, left the front door open to them.

At the High Pavilion of Iacon, Psycho-Orb and B'Boom advanced their units into the temple itself, battling the remaining Temple Guard that stood between them and the Builder Assembly. Psycho-Orb's Angry Asteroids reached a bottleneck in the corridors that seemed ripe for an ambush. He directed Snarl-blast to test their advance, and she prepped a pulse grenade to root out any attackers. Abruptly, however, Psycho-Orb's paranormal senses detected an attack from a different direction...zirconium gas from the vents. Auto-cannons emerged from the floor behind them, prodding the Asteroids forward into the gas. Psycho-Orb soon found that forward was unwise too, as two Micromaster tanks waited around the corner for fleeing troops.

Injured and dying from the tank blasts, Psycho-Orb located Snarl-blast's fallen grenade and telekinetically guided it along the floor to the Micromasters. He detonated the grenade under the Builders, killing himself and his opponents, but opening the way for the rest of the Asteroids to force through past the gas. Derailment
