The space bridge nexus was inside the Decepticon Command Headquarters on Cybertron, causing it to be targeted by five Heralds of Unicron preparing to bring Unicron into this reality. After killing the Decepticons inhabiting the base, they activated all the space bridges in the nexus, causing distortions in dimensional space. Worlds Collide, Part 2 of 4 Detecting this, Jetfire and a team of Autobots infiltrated Decepticon Command Headquarters to investigate, and did battle with Bludgeon, left behind to guard the space bridge nexus. As the nexus began punching holes into many other universes and putting stress on dimensional space, Blurr and Side Swipe attempted to shut it down, but found the command controls to be locked out. The Autobots opted to simply set charges and blow the whole nexus to smithereens, which Jetfire did manually and on his own. Just as the Heralds reappeared to investigate the disturbance, he spotted Optimus Prime, who had recently gone missing, in one of the portals and jumped through it. Located near Iacon, the Emirate Xaaron Spacebridge Nexus was a huge installation consisting of eight space bridges. The AllSpark Almanac II Megatron planned to invade Cybertron by having Decepticon troops attack space bridges across the galaxy and use them to transport themselves to the space bridge nexus, which was unguarded thanks to the inside agent Longarm. While Longarm assured the commander Ultra Magnus that it was in fact well guarded, Magnus decided to play it safe and ordered him to have the nexus shut down completely, much to Longarm's quiet disappointment.
