G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers
Seeking to take control of the SPS Satellite, Cobra attacked the SPS Research Facility. Destro led the attack from a reprogrammed Soundwave, with Sideswipe and Sunstreaker along for the ride. The attackers hadn't expected G.I. Joe to be there defending the facility, however, and three cassette robots were killed during the initial attack stage. Rumble managed to dodge enemy fire and use his piledrivers to raze one of the facility's buildings, but was defeated by Bumblebee while Wheeljack took care of Soundwave, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker.
However, the attack was merely a diversion that had allowed Zartan and Firefly to infiltrate the SPS Research Facility and steal the software necessary to control the SPS Satellite. To distract anyone from following them, Firefly planted explosives inside the complex and blew it up as the Cobras retreated. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers issue 3
