Time to pull the wishbone!

The Millennium Falcon is the ship of the smuggler Han Solo and his alien First Mate Chewbacca. The ship itself is a combiner of sorts, as it can split into two mechs resembling its crew.

Shortly after making their famed completion of the Kessel Run in just under twelve parsecs, Chewbacca and Solo were set upon by an Imperial Star Destroyer. Refusing to give up without a fight, the two revealed the Millennium Falcon's "new modification technology": the ability to split into two heavily armed attack robots. Chewbacca and Solo attacked their enemies with a barrage of missiles, showing them the speed and power of the Millennium Falcon.[1]

If it's referred to as female, why is it made up of two males?
  • Han Solo & Chewbacca / Millennium Falcon (2006)
    • Accessories: 3 missiles, missile launcher/Han's gun, Chewbacca's gun, radar dish, cockpit, Han Solo figure, Chewbacca figure
A combiner of sorts, the Millennium Falcon splits into two mechs: Chewbacca and Han Solo. The Falcon features a firing projectile as well as some electronic gimmicks. Also included are two smaller "pilot" figures of Han Solo and Chewbacca which fit within the cockpit of the Falcon.
The Chewbacca half of the Millennium Falcon toy is prone to Gold Plastic Syndrome.

"The garbage will do!"
  • Millennium Falcon (6-2018)
The second release in the 2018 Star Wars/Transformers line, this updated version of the Millennium Falcon is also a combiner and again splits into robot mech versions Han Solo and Chewbacca, much like the 2006 iteration. This version lacks the lights and sounds of the first model, but does also include Han and Chewie pilot figures, though the main cockpit only has room for 1 pilot, requiring the other to be put in the gunner station.
The engineering and transformation scheme of this new version leads to much sleeker and movie accurate proportions in ship mode compared to the 2006 version.

Notes

  • The sound effects of the Millennium Falcon's screen appearances were among the most popular for recycling in the original Generation 1 The Transformers cartoon.
  • Artist William Schmidt totally copped the Falcon's design for the cover of the Generation 1 multi-path adventure book The Invisibility Factor.
