Mighty Eagle is an Autobird from the Angry Birds Transformers continuity family.

"I see all and know all, what are your names?"

Gaze upon Mighty Eagle, the oldest bird on Piggy Island, but he prefers to be left alone in his cave and to never be disturbed. The only time he leaves his cave is when the Flock comes to ask him to defeat the pigs for them in exchange for a can of sardines.

Oh yeah, he loves him some sardines. Despite all this, he doesn't (and will never) want to be a part of the fight against the pigs.

When the EggSpark came into Piggy Island, he was transformed into Alpha Trion, Superion, and Kup, gaining the ultimate wisdom and power.

Combined with the ultimate Transformer in knowledge and power, Mighty Eagle uses a Grimlock-esque weapon able to drag any block in a random direction and break almost anything with ease. That's saying, using an OP version of an OP weapon. Plus, in vehicle mode, he automatically causes earthquakes. So yeah. Pretty much one of the best characters in the game, even after all the powercreep.

Now THIS is a real Mighty Eagle!
  • Squad: Combiners
  • Mission Type: Firepower
  • Unlock Type: Challenge Event prize (10000 Tokens), Gem Purchase (750)

Superion marks the arrival of both the second Combiner and the second iteration of Mighty Eagle in the game, and frankly and respectfully, Superion seems like a beautifully fitting choice for this legendary bird. Knowing that Mighty Eagle is much larger than any of the other birds and also the only one that can, canonically, actually fly puts him right up Superion's alley. Alpha Trion's fine too, but before Superion? C'mon!

But anyway, enough with the opinions and nerd talk, and let's get into the weapons (how's that for a YouTube video script?). Superion’s main weapon is a slightly modified version of Alpha Trion's, albeit invisible (not anymore). That might be a glitch though, or perhaps lazy programming (something we've never seen in this game before). His secondary weapon is the same as the primary, but has its role and will target anything, thereby making it unable to be controlled. Just like most other Combiners in the game he has a special ability that replaces his unexistent vehicle mode. Superion's comes in the form of a barrage of very hard-hitting homing missiles.

Superion was originally available in the event of the same name for the price of 10000 Tokens.

As Kup

I have the best double chin in the world! Suck it, Sentinel!
  • Squad: VIP

  • Unlock Type: Challenge Event prize (cost: 10000 Tokens)

Kup really fits Mighty Eagle: old, nostalgic and legendary. But as old as he may be, his gears aren't totally rusted yet, and he's still ready to take his teleport guns and blast some pigs into the sky!

His weapon is similar to Galvatron’s: a big purple laser. Blocks and pigs that are hit by the laser or in in a small radius of the impact point will be teleported to a random point above the ground and will proceed to plummet to the surface.

Kup was originally available in the event of the same name.

Not a scratch on his rusty bod!
  • Squad: Misfits Squad
  • Mission Type: ???
  • Unlock Type: Prime Pass reward (level 10)

In the wake of a very sloppy battle between two very sloppy individuals, the Autobirds need an experienced guiding hand. A weathered (pun not intended) leader whose wisdom will finally bring the avians their much-desired victory. Captain Alpha Trion steps up to fill that role. The Deceptihogs however aren't waiting around and aren't going for the same route of steady and wise old men either. Alpha Trion finds himself up against the chaotic Seeker Nova Storm.

Notes

  • When you are playing as Mighty Eagle, he uses Hal's voice clips even though in the other Angry Birds games he appears in, he has unique voice clips. Man, that sounds familiar...
  • In both The Angry Birds Movie and its sequel, the Mighty Eagle was voiced by Peter Dinklage. While Kōichi Yamadera voices him in the Japanese dub of both films.
