"Hey Optimus, how's it going? I like your flames, that looks really great. So you're a robot, right, what's that all about? Okay, well it was great to meet you. Say hi to your mother for me, okay?"

Mark Robert Michael Wahlberg (born, June 5, 1971) is an American actor, producer and former rapper. He is well known for his roles in Fear, Boogie Nights (in which he sings the song The Touch), Planet of the Apes, The Departed, Max Payne, The Fighter, Scoob!, Pain & Gain (directed by Michael Bay and co-starring Dwayne Johnson), and both Ted and Daddy's Home films, although his very first claim to fame was as a singer and rapper: he was a founding member of the boy band New Kids on the Block alongside his older brother Donnie, but left the group three months in; subsequently, he was the frontman for Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, followed by a collaboration with reggae/ragga singer Prince Ital Joe, which proved successful mainly in Europe.

He is not to be confused with Mark L. Wahlberg, the first announcer of Shop Til You Drop, the host of Free 4 All and Russian Roulette, and the current host/narrator of Antiques Roadshow.
